I'm a new TM customer. Set up 4G LTE CellSpot v2 successfully 2 days ago, working well, had all solid green lights. Tonight I see that, as the title says, POWER light is blinking green, 3G/4G light is OFF, all the others are ON SOLID GREEN. I have 4 barsWhat does this mean? Cannot find this light combination described anywhere. Thanks, JW
I have a SwitchBox (https://switchboxcontrol.com/)This is a box that uses a T-Mobile SIM to control power to remote devices. It is used typically in an aircraft hangar to turn on an engine pre-heater. It works by receiving SMS messages containing commands. Sometime when I send it a command, it responds within a few seconds, and sometimes the message is not delivered for a few hours. This afternoon one message took 4 minutes to be delivered to the box and the next one took two and a half hours. In both cases I can see the credit debited from my pre-paid T-Mobile account immediately. What is the problem with these long delays when sending an SMS to a T-Mobile device?
I have now requested twice for my phone to be temporarily unlocked as I am abroad in the UK. Both times I have received an email saying my request has been denied as they cannot unlock it due to my EIP not being paid in full. Can anyone help me with this? I am not looking to pay off my plan but I would like to access the 30-day temporary unlock. I have an iPhone. Not sure if that makes a difference!
Ok, I have a long winded rant here, but, I felt like I needed to tell my story. So, we recently purchased a home. Before closing we noticed that our ATT phones, who we have had for several years did not have service there. So we began checking coverage maps for all of the other companies. We were excited to see that T-Mobile had excellent coverage at our new place, or at least according to their map they did. So we went in our local store, the salesman confirmed that we did indeed have service at the new address, so we traded in our ATT phones for new T-Mobile phones. I see that they had a promo to pay off up to $650 per line to switch, so I thought, what do I have to lose. We walked out with our new phones and I was $1000 poorer. (Sales tax and down payment on two phones) So I paid off the ATT account which was $1600 for cancelling our phone contracts early. So now I am $2600.00 down and gave up our ATT phones to get T-Mobile to pay off the $1600... When I called to do that
I called my sister abroad (to an imo number) from my phone through the imo app and I was charged $63 for 21 minutes. Now I thought calling from an imo to imo (or whatsapp to whatsapp) are free. So why Tmobile is charging me? I called Tmobile and was told that this is an imo issue and I should contact them. Anybody has an idea on what's going on? (I made calls before through whatsapp to europe and Africa and I don't believe I was charged). Thank you guys.
Hi,I'm currently roaming in Canada on the TELUS network and can not receive sms. Here is what does work:1. I can send and receive sms texts to USA Based area codes.2. I can send SMS to Canadian Area Codes (and they verify they receive them). What is not working:1. No person with a Canadian Area Code can send me a text, or reply to my texts. It sends from their device but I never receive it.What I have:- Samsung Note 10+- Android 10 with Samsung UI 2.0- Android Security Patch Level January 1, 2020- APN: T-Mobile APN -- fast.t-mobile.comEverything else is functionally normally on the phone. The result is the same if I roam to the BELL network, as well.
I just started using T|Vision, and have ran into a very irritating issue. I clicked On Demand, on the guide, and chose premium (in particular, Starz). I started browsing the movie, and found one that I was interested in. I clicked on it, for more info, and then clicked "add to library". After that, I looked for a way to go back to the movie list, and found no button. I clicked the left side of the "ring", on the remote, and it returned me to the movie list, but back to the beginning of the list. Every time I added another movie to the library, to watch later, when I backed out of the movie, it will return me to the very beginning of the list. This is so irritating, and ridiculous. There are thousands of on demand titles, so starting at the top, over and over, and trying to page down to where you left off, is unacceptable. I really hope I am just not using the remote properly, and someone here can help. If everyone else is experiencing the same problem, then this needs fixed, fast. Than
According to this article in Engadget, hackers recently emptied $25,000 from the accounts of a T-Mobile customer, using a SIM-swap attack, in which "someone uses pieces of personal information to convince your cell service provider to transfer (port) your number and associated phone account to a device in the attacker's possession". The victim "used two-factor (text/SMS) as an extra layer of security for his accounts... but with his phone out of his hands, it didn't matter". And incredibly, "once he got his phone number back from the hacker, T-Mobile let the hacker steal it a second time."I appreciate that T-Mobile now has "port validation" passwords, but given that our billing information has been compromised, will T-Mobile consider affording it's customers the option of using physical keys, such as YubiKey, which are "the strongest form of two-factor" authentication? How a trivial cell phone hack is ruining lives Yubico | YubiKey Strong Two Factor Authentication for Business and Indiv
I have been with Tmobile for 6 years; maybe it is time for a different company. I just checked my bill and found out that I was charged an extra 120 for a 40-minutes International call. That is 3 dollar per minute. I googled the customer service number for a airline, made the call, and waited on hold for the entire 40 minutes. Basically, I have to pay $120 while waiting on hold for 40 minutes — such a big surprise.I called customer service, and she mentioned that a short message would be sent to me whenever I make an international call. I checked my phone, no such message! Tmobile is not cleat at all for thier rates.I noticed that under my plan, it says 0.25 per minute for international call. It took many steps to find out the actual rate for an international call, even with the help of the customer service representative.Anyways, just extremely disappointed at this. @Has anyone else been in a similar situation?
Does the built-in DIGITS capability no long work on Samsung phones like the Galaxy S9+? I have to use the separate T Mobile DIGITS app now, whereas previously DIGITS was built-in using the multi-line settings on the Samsung phone with no need to use the separate DIGITS app. I saw a couple of posts suggesting that Samsung was no longer supporting built-in DIGITS capability, but I would like to confirm. Thanks.
I am trying to open one of my banking apps and I am getting the following message: Update your device settings to enable Verify Apps, a Google utility used to secure your device. I have an LG V20 and I have uninstalled and re-installed the app and I am getting the same message. Does anyone know what I should do?
Hello all. My family recently switched to TMobile and brought over our own devices. Everything works great except 3/4 of us can't send or receive MMS messages. We have an lg v40 that can and two lg v30s and a galaxy S7 edge that can't. I've tried a bunch of different apn settings and currently have them set to the settings listed here: https//www.t-mobile.com/support/devices/not-sold-by-t-mobile/byod-t-mobile-data-and-apn-settings. I've even tried a factory reset, I'm out of ideas.
In November during black friday week, my husband turned in his iphone 7 because the T-Moble rep told us they will give $300.00 for it due to a promotion. We got $50 dollars right off the bat, then told us that within 3 weeks to a month we will get the $250.00 sent to us by mail. 2 months later I get a call from T-Mobile telling me that we will not be getting the $250.00 because one can't double promotions and we can't get the phone back because they paid us $50.00 for it. Even though that was not what was told to us by their own Rep at time of transaction. So in other words, we were completley lied to by T-Mobile at transaction by their own reps and now we have lost $250.00 because we trusted them. We would have NEVER given up the iPhone for only $50.00. We could of sold that phone for at least $200.00 on Ebay. This is really messed up T-Mobile. What can be done to fix this situation?
