5G home internet keeps dropping

I’m having a problem with T-Mobile 5g home internet that has not been resolved despite many calls in to the help line. I’ve had T-Mobile 5g home internet for almost a month now, and the short version is that every so often the gateway drops the network. When I say “drop the network,” I mean to say it throws everything off of the Wifi that it’s broadcasting, and anything plugged in via ethernet says “no network found. (To elaborate this point, cell phones switch to cellular data because wifi is gone for them, and computers hardwired into the gateway think that they are no longer plugged into anything.) Turning off the gateway and turning it back on resolves the issue, but doesn’t prevent it from happening again. Whatever is happening doesn’t seem to affect our connection speed/strength when the gateway IS providing signal to devices in the home, but due to the nature of our work, we need a connection that won’t just disconnect randomly. Samsung S23 Pre-Order Problem Through Samsung

Is anyone else having problems pre-ordering the new S23 **through Samsung**? I’ve been trying for the past 5 hours since pre-orders opened today, and it keeps hanging when the Samsung site tries to interact with T-Mobile. That is, I can enter all the data about the phone I want, but when it connects to T-Mobile to verify my trade-in and that I want to use my existing line and plan, it says there is a problem and to try later. Or that my trade-in IMEI can’t be verified with T-Mobile now.\I’ve tried two different browsers, cleared cache, etc. No luck.Samsung and T-Mobile had better honor the discounts I was being offered!

Voicemails not showing up until days after they were left

I'm fuming. I'm paying money for a service that is not giving me missed call notifications, not giving me voicemail notifications, and does not even have voicemails arrive in my inbox until days after they were left (which I can only find out by checking manually!).From what I've seen this is a long term issue with you guys too. Congrats on the great service. I didn't want that interview anyways.

VPN issues

All devices and home network are good. Signal strength is 2 bars (weak, but functional). Spouse needs to set up VPN to work from home, but even IT from the office could not get VPN to work via T-Mobile Home Internet. VPN worked just fine on the same computer using cable network.

Home Internet Static IP

Is it possible to get a static IP with the 5G Home Internet service? Normally I wouldn’t need it but since my connection dies at least once a week I get a new IP every time my modem reboots. I work from home and whenever my IP changes I have to update some of my clients’ firewalls.

Please, do NOT shutdown 2G

As soon as AT&T shut down 2G I switched to T-Mobile.Now I am hearing rumors that T-Mobile is shutting down 2G at the end of 2020.I have an Ebay bushiness unlocking AT&T older phones for use on T-Mobile. Shutting down 2G will make all these phones useless, creating an unimaginable amount of e-waste and destroying me and many others source of income.A large amount of people still use these older 2G-only phones, due to their reliability and people disliking the lack of options, poor repairability, and poor build quality in the modern phone market.Perhaps you can add a fee for 2G service to help keep up the cost of maintaining the older network, but I beg, do NOT shut down 2G.ESPECIALLY because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is an incredibly terrible idea to force the shutdown at this moment. Many businesses will not be able to cough up the cost for new equipment that relied on the legacy 2G network.

Home Internet Gaming Problem

I recently started test driving T-Mobile home internet at my house, and it's worked great for everything except games, where I'm having a weird issue with some of them. When I try to play Apex Legends on PC, the game will connect and play really smooth for anywhere from 1-3 minutes, and then all communication will be lost, which will take 20 seconds for the game to kick me out to the main menu. If I go back into the game from the main menu, it'll work fine untill the 1-3 minutes elapses. During all of this my PC never loses connection, and this issue occurs over wifi and ethernet. This issue probably does not lie with the game as this issue does not occur with other ISPs, and it did not coincide with an update. A similar issue is happening with Splatoon 3 on the Nintendo Switch, where the game will play superb for 30 seconds to 2 minutes before dropping the connection. Is this a known issue with the service or gateway, is there anyway I can debug my connection, and does anyone know an

WIFI Calling Preferences Being Forced to Cellular Preferred

I am experiencing my WIFI Calling Preferences always being forced to “cellular preferred”, as are others. I live in an area with poor T-mobile mobile data signal and this recent behavior makes my phone unable to make and receive calls and text messages. I believe the problem only started happening after the next to last T-Mobile software update. Everything was fine for my first 5 months of ownership. A Google search shows posts of other users experiencing the same issue, but no options other than a tedious workaround of manually switching the phone to Airplane mode and changing the WIFI calling preferences back to “WIFI preferred”. I have to do this kind of process each time I enter and leave my home, and sometimes have to reboot my phone as well. The times I’ve forgotten, I’ve missed package deliveries and went to a doctor appointment when the doctor had left a message that he was out sick. Not Receiving calls and delayed text messages

Hi all, trying to find a resoultion to this issue that's been happening for the past 5 months. My phone is an unlocked HTC u11. Randomly I will not receive calls when I have full bars. It doesn't show up as a missed call or anything. The person will message me on another messenger and when I call them back I usually get a bunch of text messages time-stamped from the past hour that I have also missed. I will also randomly receive voicemails with no missed calls indicating that again, I've missed a call but it does not show up in my notifications .I've tried all the resetting everything on my phone, I've disabled wifi calling and volte but the problem persists. Has anyone experienced this and had it fixed?

Has ping / tracert been blocked on 5g network?

Before yesterday (10/17/2022), I’ve always had a command prompt window (MS Windows) up running a constant ping at 3 second interval - so I can tell when the network starts to degrade or just stops responding (which has become very frequent in the last few months).As of yesterday morning, both ping and tracert commands consistently fail. As in no longer any response. So it appears the ports used for those commands are now being blocked on the 5g network? I have a 5g phone on Tmobile, and I see the same result. On 5g with hotspot turned on, with computer connected, ping and tracert fail 100%. If I force the phone to use LTE and stay off 5g, ping and tracert start working again. Don’t really understand why Tmobile would block such a basic network analysis command.This is in downtown Scottsdale AZ. As a sidenote, service on the 5g network degrades consistently every day after about 8am, and usually is consistently bad all weekend long. Works great before 8am most days.

email to tmomail.net rejected for banned content

I've used tmomail.net for a couple of years. Sometime between Sep 30 and Oct 3 the servers {dal or chi}-tmo-mm3-syniverse.com started rejecting messages from my mail server with the message: 544 rejecting banned content. I've done some testing:What works:If I test with a gmail account, the message is delivered to my cell phone. My mail server can deliver the same message to <phone>@vtext.com to a friend's phone.What generates the same error: Prefixing my phone number with a "1". Using the T-Mobile phone number of my data device, my son's phone or my daughter's phone. Using a simple message with subject "test" and body "test" that has no content worthy of banning. Would you say that the tmomail.net servers have effectively blocked my email server? Has anyone else hadthis issue and had it resolved? Has anyone had their email server whitelisted? Thanks,Bill

5G Home Internet T-Mobile Gateway needs to be fixed. There are too many internet disconnections.

Let me start by saying I do like having wireless internet. The problem is I don’t think it is ready for primetime. Speed is great, price is great, but It loses its connection to the internet about once every two days. It’s sad. I have spoken with T-Mobile many times. They have updated my firmware and done other things (I have no idea what they change there), and they tell me that these changes will fix all the problems. Sure! I am getting close to asking them to replace my Gateway to see if that helps. Has anyone had a replacement and found that helped?

I've had 5G home internet service for about two months, after two weeks it started acting up. For about five times a day all my devices connected to the Arcadyan KVD21 gateway lose internet yet stay connected to wifi, I've tried everything! Do I need to replace my gateway? Very frustrating.

Phone has full signal but I can't use the internet

Greetings,For the past few months I have been trying to resolve this issue with my T-Mobile service:1. Phone shows 3-4 bars of LTE, but the internet won't work2. My co-workers with T-Mobile are not experiencing any issues and they sit right next to me.3. When I'm with my spouse, their phone will work fine and mine won't4. I have tried turning WiFi off, resetting network settings, using a different phone - nothing resolves the issue5. I have called T-Mobile multiple times about the issue and the technician just tells me to reset my network settings or they send a device reset signal to my phone and it starts working again, but only temporarily6. I've ruled out the device and location at this point, so what else is their to test?7. Sometimes when I make calls, the device can't hang up and my phone locks up. Text messages are delayed sending and receiving

When I receive a text message, I often get it and it shows 5+ minutes old. Its even been in excess of a day - this when I have plenty of signal and can make voice calls and use data without issue. I use the standard stock Messaging app. I also have delays sending messages. It spins and spins and a reboot rarely helps.I'm using a S5. I deleted all the messages, no change. It has been factory reset with no change. I used to have a Note 4 with the same issue.My zip is 30005. I have been having this problem for over a year. I've ignored it mostly because I got told about service improvements in my area and promised a booster that never arrived.But now the delays are causing me great pains because more and more websites are using SMS for 2-factor and a message that takes over 4 minutes to arrive DOES NOT WORK for 2-factor as the code expires before I receive the message. So I now need this figured out.

After latest update, GS9 keeps defaulting to Cellular Preferred over Wi-Fi calling

I have very poor (but existent) cellular coverage in my home. I had no problems with setting Wi-Fi preferred for all of my calls/texting prior to the latest (large) update. Now, I can select Wi-Fi preferred under Wi-Fi calling, however it never seems to save that setting. As I am typing this, I have two outgoing messages that aren't sending (spinning circle) because the phone can't decide whether it wants to use Cellular or Wi-Fi. I want it to use Wi-Fi because I know my Cellular coverage is horrible at my location. I called into customer service today (somehow without a dropped call) and they made some adjustments on their end, however it fixed nothing. Even after selecting Wi-Fi preferred, I will go back to check a few minutes later and the phone has already switched itself back to Cellular preferred. This is very frustrating. What can I do to ensure that Wi-Fi preferred will be the default setting?Thank you

Why am I randomly not receiving texts?

A few months ago it came to my attention that I was not receiving certain messages from what seemed like a single person (they showed me their phone proving they in fact had sent me these messages). Then it happened with another friend. Both these individuals have iPhones and are on T-Mobile. Why is my tethering speed so slow?

My issue is similar to other threads I have seen here. I am a on a grandfathered Simple Choice NA plan with 10 GB of high speed data. I am not close to using all of my data. My data speeds are always around 10 Mbps (or higher) download and 8 Mbps upload directly on my phone. (On the SpeedTest I just ran I got 25.5 download and 8.11 upload.) However, when I USB tether to my laptop (or desktop), data speeds drop to about 0.3 Mbps download and 0.1 Mbps upload.I have multiple lines with T-Mobile and multiple phones. It happens on all phones and all lines. The issue is not related to my location because data speeds on the phone are adequate. As soon as I USB tether, speeds drop drastically. The issue is not related to tethering to one particular laptop either. I have been having this issue for the last 1.5 years and in that time I have used several different laptops. Prior to 1.5 years ago, tethering speeds were fantastic. My T-Mobile plan has not changed during this time.My phones include
