Hi, I’m currently on a T-Mobile One plan with 4 lines and want to add a 5th line to anther family member.  He wanted to use his own device but doesn’t want to keep his existing number.  I already have a sim card.  How long will I see this new line/number on my plan?

Once the SIM is provisioned for the new line, you can then request the number to be changed.

Understood.  So how long will T-Mobile assign the number for my new line?

Once you see the new line on your account, it should be possible to change the number.  You can either change it online, call Customer Care, or use the chat feature on T-Mobile.com to have it changed.
