Big mistake switching from an MVNO to TMO - Here is why:

I was paying $125 to another MVNO for 5 lines that had unlimited 5G, free Canada/Mexico but did not have watch or international support. I decided to see if TMO had gotten it together after creative billing and poor 4g coverage 5+ years ago.

I needed 5 military lines, Mexico/Canada, unlimited 5G, but also 2 watch lines. The store quoted $185 which includes 2 free iphones for adding lines and heavily discounted pixel watch. (which originally was quoted free as well) Adding the 5th line was to be free. First bill that comes in is almost perfect. Was pleased. 2nd bill ballooned to $285. I went to the store and was told that the iPhones hadn’t washed yet, 5th line was prorated….will all be fixed on next bill.

This months bill comes in at $225. I decide to call TMO and I am told:

  1. iPhones are discounted not free - Lie 1
  2. Due to military plan,  5th line is not free - Lie 2
  3. The Pixel watch does not have the $300 discount applied (I was only to pay down) - Lie 3
  4. Total will not be, nor will it ever be, in or around $180 - Lie 4

This is clearly deceptive marketing. I will be returning to the store to get this corrected tomorrow. Or, there will be potential legal action.
