Want to switch to Mint mobile. My wife and I want to keep our phone #”s and cancel our t-mobile acct.

You may have a port-out PIN, which is usually the same as the account PIN you’re asked for when you talk to customer service. Also, be aware that T-Mobile does not prorate partial months when you port out or cancel service. Are your phones unlocked? Make sure they are unlocked before you port out.
