Does Magenta Max 55+ have the iPhone $1000 upgrade deal and forever deal?

I looked and looked online and all the ads say, Magenta Max, not Magenta Max 55+, is eligible for this upgrade deal. Is the 55+ eligible?

I went to my local t-mobile store, one CS person in the store, and she grabbed some loose papers on the counter that looked like promo pages, read them a bit, and said, “only the Magenta Max gets that $1000 deal (or $800 if you have iphone 11’s), not the Magenta Max 55+. But you can get $400 trade in on your 11s”. 

After getting home I start a t-mobile text conversation, and Maryann says ”thank you so much for clarifying me. As for checking we are eligible your plan for our promotion, but to take advantage our promotion we need every two years is when you trade in. Please let me know your thoughts about it.” (yes, this is an exact quote).

I simply wanted to know… Does the Magenta Max 55+ get the $1000 upgrade ($800 for my 11s) and/or the forever deal, and how do I get it?  

Can anyone confirm?

I have a similar problem.  I’m currently Magenta 1.0 and would be okay moving to Magenta Max while I have my current promotion (pay for 3 lines get 1 free) but I might be losing one of my lines so I asked if in 6 months I could switch from Magenta Max (with 4 lines) to Magenta Max 55+ (with 3 lines).  The first person said yes the iPhone upgrade promotion worked with Magenta Maxx 55+ and then when I asked the next customer service person he said no it didn’t work.  First they are super unclear about these promotions and second they give me different information each time I talk to them.

The thing about the Apple/T-Mobile iPhone deal is that the fine print says it is for “customers on a Magenta Max plan”.  This implies to me that there are more than one Magenta Max plan and any should work.

T-Mobile’s iPhone 14 upgrade process is a mess.  Through the Apple Store the $1,000 is only available if I change from Magenta Max 55 to MM.  That would increase my rate $20 per month for 24 months.  In other words the execs at T-Mobile want me to spend $480 to save $400 (the Apple Store trade-in is an instant $600).  At t-mobile.com.  The trade in is $495.  The $505 balance of the $1,000 promotion is paid out as a monthly bill credit over 24 months.  

I have the same problem, were you able to figure it out?

I’m late to the conversation. But how long after you switched to Magenta Max55+ did it take to become eligible for the upgrade promotion? I only switched for the increase upgrade promotion, but it shows me with the Unlimited One plan with the lower trade in allowance.

For any promotional upgrade offer, your trade in must be done at at the same time you upgrade the plan. When I did this, I completely forgot to add the discounted AirPods at the time of my upgrade and TMO could not add it after my upgrade was processed.

I just called today and she said yes the magenta max 55+ Is included in the 800 for ever program.

YES, Magenta Max 55 is eligible. I now have 2 new iphone 13’s.

I went to the BIG store in my area and they said yes, my lines are eligible. They wanted to do do it for me there, but wanted to charge me $30/line. I opted to order them online and have them shipped for free. Yeah, for $60 in savings, I could wait a couple of days to get the new phones :wink:

I had a text conversation with T-mobile Support and they said that indeed the Magenta Max 55+ was eligible for $800 upgrade (I will be trading in an XR).

The 55 + Magenta Max plan is a discounted rate plan and is probably not available.

Try reaching out to Tmobile support using messenger on one of tmobile's social media platforms. The support is a higher tier and can give you a definite answer.
