Device Trade in Finance vs. Payoff
I’m on the new Magenta Max plan. If I trade in my son’s device it gives me a credit of $400 when it’s financed, however, if I want to pay in full and trade it in, it only offers me $100, why? Also, If I want to pay off my device, is there any accrued interest or if there is will that be omitted when paying the device off?
Fraudulent activity by a TMobile employee switching my SIM # to a new device to steal funds
Hello,Sorry for the long post to follow. Here is what happened to me recently. On Sunday 1/19/2020 around 2:30pm, I noticed that I lost T-Mobile network connection. Everybody around me, including those with T-Mobile network were fine, with 4-5 signal bars. I assumed it was a phone/setting issue, rebooted the phone, reset the network setting, but nothing. Removing the SIM and re-entering did nothing either. I decided to turn off my phone for a little bit then an hour later, when I turned it on, I still had the same issue, WIFI was working though. I decided to try my friend’s SIM to see if it was a phone issue or SIM and network connection came back so it was a SIM issue. I decided to call TMobile with my friend’s phone that evening and they were able to reactivate my phone. I asked them what happened and they said that they were not sure, most likely a glitch.Fast forward to Tuesday morning 1/21/2020 at 4am (I wake up early), I checked my bank account and see that there was a unauthorize
First Billing Cycle
Hello T-Mobile,I have switched to the All One Plan on 1/16/2018 and I have received a text saying my first auto debit will take place on 2/6/2018 for service from 1/17/2018 -2/16/2017. I spoke to a representative and was told my following auto debit will happen on 3/7/2018 for the service from 2/17/2018 – 3/16/2018, which makes sense. My question is, why am I being debited on the 2/6/2018 and not on 2/16/2018 as is when the full cycle of 30 days is completed. It seems like I am going to be paying a full month of service cost for only 20 days of service used on my first bill 2/6/2018. I know this is a postpaid and not a prepaid plan. Please advise.
Magneta 1.0 vs Magenta Plan
I am still on Magenta 1.0. Trying to determine if I should switch to the regular Magenta plan. Can you tell me what this distinction in high-speed data means between the two? Am I only getting 4G LTE service at best with my current plan? What other notable differences might there be? You sent
Charges for conference call numbers
I am a new T-Moble customer as of August. Today I received a rude shock when I learned that some conference call phone numbers (in the US) are "out of plan" and that T-Mobil will charge me extra to make what have been routine calls with other carriers. For a plan that is advertised as covering all of the US, Canada & Mexico this seems like a "bait & switch" policy. Does anyone else object to this?
How to receive QR Code for eSim?
Hi! I recently purchased a pre-paid eSIM for my iPhone XS Max, and I was able to successfully set it up and activate it. However, after a week abroad and having my phone on airplane mode and experiencing issues with my (Verizon) Primary line, I decided to remove the (T-Mobile) cellular data plan and reconfigure it. Is there any way I can receive a QR code to set it up again?I already tried using the T-Mobile eSIM app, and it said it would only work for activating new lines, not setting up already activated ones. Please help!Laura
Google Voice for voicemail service
I recently switched from verizon (no appreciation for customer loyalty). I brought my own device (S6 Edge) when I made the transfer. I have used Google Voice as my voice mail service since it was first deployed. However, missed phone calls are sent to the t-mobile voice mail service. I tried to switch from google voice to t-mobile and back to google voice. However, it hangs "reading settings" with the infamous circle spinning. I then tried to use the GV **402* code from GV and I receive a message saying the number is not in service. I then tried to use my phone settings to forward my unanswered calls to my GV number. To finalize it, the phone tries to dial *92..... and I still receive a message that the number is not in service. It appears as though any number leading with an asterisk will result in the same error message. Anyone have any suggestions? Thank you in advance.
Being charged for phone after returning back to Assurant...
Hi there,I'm having a really stressful time right now getting the run around from T-Mobile and Assurant regarding a phone claim I have. The Merchant Return Labal states: PERMIT NO. 395 LANCASTER, PA Assurant YORK PA, 17402 625 WILLOW SPRINGS LANE STE A; RMA # 405-32835102-3.I've been charged 300$ on my phone bill, despite returning this phone almost a month ago. When I call up Assurant they state the warehouse still hasn't recieved it. I feel like I'm being taken advantage of for a mistake on Assurant's end, and T Mobile says they can't refund the money on my bill. I'm literally at a loss for words, I sent it and feel like it's 100% their responsibility for not receiving it, what should I do?
How to get old phone number back for a day?
I used my old phone number for a social media account and I need a 2-step verification text code in order to get back into the account. The problem is, I don’t have access to the old phone number since May 2021. I tried texting my old number but it is currently not in service. Is there any way for me to get my old phone number back for a day (or less than a day, e.g. an hour should be enough) so I receive the 2-step verification text code?Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Upgrading my Phone
Hello, I currently have a LG G4 and I've been planning on upgrading to an iPhone 8 Plus. My question is that do I need my primary account holder, since it's not me, to help me upgrade by providing information about our plan and phone or can I just walk in to a T-Mobile store and do it myself?
Ported to another carrier, unable to access my t-mobile online to view and pay final bills
I just got my new phone to replace my old phone, and ported my t-mobile number to Project Fi. I am now unable to access my t-mobile through the website since the the porting completed. How am I supposed to access everything there to view and pay my final bills? I always paid my blil this way in the past to avoid excessive transaction fees. How can I access the online system to pay the final bills without being charged the ridiculous fees for phone/etc payments? Attempting to login on the website tells me the service is unavailable and that they're working on fixing it. I'm rhinking its a generic error and the real problem is the fact that my number was ported. It seems wrong to lock people out from accessing past and final bills this way, forcing them to use only fee-laden pay,ent methods, especially the fact that it gives a bogus error to disguise it as a system outage. Even snail mail falls in this category due to costs of postage/money orders/etc.
Limit data usage
Folks,Looking for a way to block data usage at certain times for my kid. We have unlimited data, and he uses it late into the night.Yes, I know the old fashioned way of taking the phone away would work 😊 , but he stays up later than me and I don't mind that, but I want him in bed by say midnight, and I want to cut off his data usage.Family Allowances DOES NOT stop data usage as far as I can tell. I already have that turned on.I may have to go back to limited data since at least that would stop him.Barring the above, is there a way to turn off his hotspot/tethering? There seems to be a way for T-Mobile to do this centrally since they can control the data limit for it...Thanks in advance!
