I recently switched from Verizon, is there any way to access my old text messages from “messages +”?

Looks like that app can be downloaded on all devices supporting Android 4.2 and iOS 7 or higher. You may hav to download the app from the Playstore or Apple app store and sign in to an account if you set one up initial before you signed up with T-Mobile.
