Prepaid cancellation

Hi! I'm currently enrolled in a T-Mobile Prepaid plan ($40 Simply Prepaid 10GB LTE – Unlimited Talk, Text, Data). I've moved out of the US and I'm unlikely to come back in a short time. If I wanna cancel the plan and the number, do I just let the funds on my account run out? I don't have auto-pay on and I currently have about $20 on my account. Thank you!

Just let the funds run out or call and switch it to the $3 a month plan and

that way you can keep the sim and phone number active and if you come

back before 6 months, then all you have to do is switch the plan back to your original one.

Thank you! I don’t think I’ll come back in a short time so I’m not planning to keep the number or the SIM card. In this case do I just don’t do anything so it will automatically become inactive?

Correct. Prepaid is non refundable so once funds run out the account will be closed.

Thanks so much! Also do you know if it will affect my credit scores? A friend kinda warned me about it but I'm not sure if it's true.

No. Prepaid is called "burner accounts" since no credit check is needed and you

won't be leaving an unpaid bill behind.
