I recall seeing that we could share our free year of Apple TV with up to five other people. For the life of me I can’t see how to share it with even one other person without just giving them full access to my Apple account. Anyone figure this out?

That looks like a way to have several accounts on an AppleTV box.
I looked at the Roku app and it seems that I can add additional Apple IDs. That doesn’t appear on the web interface.

I'm not to familiar with Apple TV but with the Play movie and TV through YouTube TV I can share my content with people without having to give them my login and password. The instructions for Apple TV looks similar.
If you haven't already you may want to go to the Roku forum or Tom's Hardware forum.
