I received a similar text today, I believe it to be a phishing text.

Let T-MobiIe Know How They're Doing, and Pick-0ut Your Gift...Limited Quantities -

AvaiIable

It takes the user to a link call boxsurveys.com.

I tried to access the link, but my work computer blocked it saying it's a malicious website. Given that it's not a T-Mobile.com website, this definitely feels like a scam. I'd definitely recommend following the steps in Help with scams, spam, and fraud | T-Mobile Support to forward that message to 7726 ( “SPAM”) so our spam teams can review.

I didn't even think about it and completed the survey. Questions were or seemed innocuous but I closed the browser when I was asked for address and email and everything to get my "free" gift. Then I noticed it was.from a South Carolina phone number and not a T-Mobile number.

Hi, I’m a T-Mobile customer and just received this text message from this unknown number. Can someone from T-mobile please tell me if this is a legit thing you guys are doing/sending? It seems a little fishy only because I’ve noticed that when t-mobile does sends text messages, it’s usually from a 3 digit number or 4 digit number.

I've also tried to google the phone number it was sent from and nothing really popped up from it. And the link it says to click on, it just doesn’t have the word t-mobile within the link whatsoever.

Here is the text, I copied and pasted it here:

Shopper Survey Coupon # TM-8423 Surprise! You won the $90 mobile carrier giveaway. Go here https://bit.ly/3gqEjnY stop=stop

Thank you in advance.

I received the below scam text today. Surprised that I got to this text even after having T-mobile's scam shield app installed :(

Surely no... it is not from T-Mobile

I got the same text message and the interesting part is I got it right after I enrolled in a T-Mobile Tuesday offer. I didn’t click the link.

Yeah… not sure even if T-Mobile is listening to this thread… :open_mouth:

Just got one saying I win a few iPhone 12 after survey questions. @T-mobile please respond?

Free*

I just got that text message too, about getting an iPhone 12 for completing a survey.  Not a Tmobile URL when they ask for my contact info, so I stopped there  Wish I knew for sure if it's real or a phishing scam.  I guess no one from Tmobile actually responds here?
