What is Wi-Fi Calling?

On my android Samsung phone, if I swipe down blue tooth and airplane mode, etc are located - I see something called Wi-FI Calling and it’s chcked/highlighted On.  Is it supposed to be?

It doesn't hurt. If connected to wifi you use it instead of a cellular connection to make calls.

WiFi Calling allows you to use an available WiFi signal as a substitute for a cell tower. It helps when you are out of cellular range, inside a big building or traveling overseas.

Nope. As soon as I get a mile or so out of my town. I have no internet. No Wi-Fi. I deliver. Sometimes 15 Miles out. I loose money every day! 

THEY DON'T COMPENSATE ME. 

BUT WILL INTERRUPT MY SERVICE FOR 22$ KNOWING I NEED THE PHONE FOR WORK.

REDICULOUS.

well a mile or two out of town would mean that you are no longer connected to any wifi ergo can no longer use wifi calling..in order to use wifi calling you kind of need wifi..
