I'm not really upset or anything, just anxious. But it's funny that when I log in here at these forums I still see a sticky post about z fold 3 pre orders... Yes, the 3... 😆 So... Can we get an update newer than that please? Lolz ...

still in development looks like. down side is it might be past this point but the link here can be a bit hit and miss when it comes to being updated in a timely fashion.

Yeah tmobile sucks at updates, every other carrier is fine and we're still being told it's in development.

Tmobile unfortunately is a joke phone service these days

if TMO was in charge of device updates sure..unfortunately the OEMs are the ones that handle said updates as well as the add ons required by the carriers..which is usually where things get delayed..

TMO. IS in charge of this release, Samsung released ages ago and Verizon was fine updating last month.

This is ALL tmobile's fault.

lol sure thing. only reason V kicked theirs out sooner is it passed testing before TMOs variant did..nothing more...nothing less..again..the OEMs are the main ones that create it for their devices and then adds in whatever the carrier requests be added on after the fact..which is where most issues/delays come in.

Actually it gets released to the carrier and THEIR engineers as the carrier specific elements.

So once again tmobile is the sole delay

either way you want to look at it the add ons are creating delays..the V variant passed its add on testing before TMOs did.

heres the run down on how updates are handled start to finish..no difference between OEMs on how theyre handled..

That's also HTCs method.  Samsung releases to carriers first and simultaneously than the carrier software engineers begin customization with the development teams from Samsung.

Each carrier is soley responsible for distribution and final development for locked phones.  Tmobile is behind as usual when it comes to software releases, they have been since they restructured their management and bought sprint.

Tmobile is far worse as a carrier than before and I've been with them since the G1 back in 08.

I gotta say, it's frustrating to have spent so much on this device through TMO just to have to sit at the side of the pool while the the cool kids get to play:

The delays are intentional. TMO would much rather have you buy a newer phone from them than to upgrade anything.

Well at this point it is frustrating. The TMO app bloat can't be worth the time it's taking, can it?

Is TMO the last major wireless provider in line in the US to get this is update to these phones?

well at this point its in the testing phase..

There is nothing newer. This is the latest and greatest, and they’ve already updated older Samsung phones. Even Samsung is selling the flip 4 direct to consumers with Android 13 for any carrier. My time with Tmobile is coming to an end. Embarrassing to both Tmobile and Samsung for letting them do this after they finally switched to an aggressive update policy.

I received my Android 13 update this morning courtesy of Motorola.  So far, so good with a couple of new and useful features.  I wasn’t too impressed with 12, but fortunately, I've only been 2 months with it (Android 12) and already a 13 update.
