Hey @evamae3‌!  The icon you're looking at is letting you know that Data Saver is turned on.  You can find out a little more about it here - Android Data Saver‌.  What sort of data plan do you have?  If you're on an unlimited plan (like with T-Mobile ONE) and you're not in a congested area where you'd need to be concerned about high usage and potential prioritization, you may not need this feature enabled!

I am on ummmm I dont remember what exactly it's called because we've had the same plan so long but we have unlimited data and all that but for a bout the last 4 months I have a warning let me know when my cycle is about 4 or 5 days left that if I go over 2 gigs before new pay period then I will get reduced speeds. But really the whole problem is gotten so out of hand that I am lost!! I don't if you saw where I wrote you back under another comment but now since a few days ago when I was instructed to of my Samsung accounts to keep it from syncing with the Samsung cloud service when I logged out it deleted the account altogether,  the Gmail account that I used for my Samsung account so when I try to reenter it and sign back into Samsung products on my mobile device it says it doesn't recognize it at all and say not valid,!!! I'm concerned because my phone has already made connections with my smart television which is Samsung and a stupid tablet that I have, my mobile has not been correct since this last update, but how in the world are all these Samsung products going to function together or how my phone will be updated if I'm not signed into a Samsung account I'm totally at a loss for what to do! Not to mention that I can not send text messages with a simple picture attached! Help

Oh my geezz! I just realized. I don't know how to take these pics down when I need to.. Can u let me know if you get a chance to check all my crazy out!   thx

Hey @evamae3‌!  I have to tell you - I removed that screen shot almost immediately after it was posted because I didn't want your full address sitting here on this public forum for even two seconds.  For future reference, a user can't delete a post but can edit one, so if you post something that you want to remove you should be able to edit, delete the picture, and then save the updated post without the picture.  If the image was the only thing in that post, you may need to put a word in when you remove it so that it's not blank and can be saved.
Regarding the Samsung account situation you're in, to be honest I don't know if there's a way to resurrect a deleted account.  😥  Have you tried reaching out to Samsung to see?

Regarding the messaging issue - I saw your newer thread about messaging and I'm glad you found a workaround, though I'm still at a loss as to how this functionality disappeared in the first place!

First Thank You so much for the pic info. That will not happen again. I did finally call Samsung about my gmail/ Samsung acct. They did have transfer me to their acct specialist and we did get it back activated as my Samsung acct. No one ever could tell me why it was deleted in the first place when all I did was sign out of the Samsung acct on my mobile device. And then tried to sign back in and said "not valid".

Regarding the text messaging issues, I'm still useing the stock app in my phone but the Android messager if I need to send pictures. How many different messaging services can a phone have on it?? Also how many web browsers can my phone use at time. I have been wanting to change to Chrome but I don't want to screw up anything else at this point and I'm not used to Chrome at all. I just thought it would be easier to use mostly Google stuff.

Thx

I'm so glad to hear that the folks at Samsung were able to square that away for you!  I remembered you mentioning in previous posts that you had multiple pieces of Samsung smart equipment, so I can imagine that was quite the headache.

While I think you can certainly add multiple messaging apps and multiple browsers, you'll only be allowed one default, so I'd bear that in mind.  Otherwise the system you've got sounds like it's working - though again, it would be preferable not to have to alternate back and forth.  What browser are you using now?

- Marissa

I use the native Samsung browser with add block fast, and it certainly seems to have more functionality with my device, like the ability to watch, cast, or wherever it's called, I can send video or pictures to my Samsung TV, and a few other things like remote control for my TV, that kind of worries me because I keep my TV offline because I pay for Cable TV, but because my TV and my phone have used the same Home WiFi network they can connect without useing WiFi because of prior connection! Therefore it freaks me out when I keep getting email from Google about my "Google Home" products and updating them! I don't have anything like that. Not even a Chromecast. But my Samsung  Phone, Samsung TV, and Samsung blue ray Smart hub, have all made these dang connections that I don't really use. But I'm afraid to make my phone forget all connections because regardless weather I want to reconnect or not they do it on their own! Way to much for me to mess with.

My real concern about browsers is when I use my Google widget, or Google now, and it gives me choices of articles, if I hop into a article from search bar then it records that I'm using Chrome. Idk may I'm just paranoid after all this time but I guess, it just seems weird that that causes me to have to backtrack and delete a bunch of "Google" account activity dashboard crap. Idk

Also can u tell me where I can find the (Knox counter) at in my settings.

You're definitely right about Google apps connecting to Chrome - but that's part of the Android OS, since Google makes all the things.  To be honest, I'm so used to it at this point that I don't think twice about it - and there has been more than one occasion when I've been relieved to be able to use Chrome on our PC or my laptop and look at my mobile browsing history to find a link that I viewed on my phone and forgot to bookmark, so in my world, it frequently winds up being advantageous.
The Knox counter ask is another matter - the User Manual: Samsung Galaxy S7 edge (G935T) makes one initial mention of it as Samsung's security platform, and refers users seeking additional information here: Samsung Knox™️ | Mobile Security‌.  The only other mention I could find using the search function was how to enable it through Smart Settings: Apps > Settings > Smart Manager > Device Security > Install my KNOX.  It doesn't offer anything else, I'm sorry to say, but maybe you can grab the information you need from there!
