Hi, I'm planning to buy a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra model SM-G9880 because that model has the Dual SIM feature.

I heard it may have some limitations with the network in the US. I'm not sure if its 5G would work with T-Mobile's network or if only 4G does. I read that this particular model works with these bands:

  • 4G: LTE B1 / B2 / B3 / B4 / B5 / B7 / B8 / B12 / B13 / B18 / B19 / B20 / B25 / B26 / B28 / B34 / B38 / B39 / B40 / B41
  • 5G: Sub-6 N1 / N78 / N79

Can anyone tell me if this model works just fine with T-Mobile?

Depends on where you live. There will be no 5G because it lacks the bands.

As for LTE it lacks band 66 and 71 which you may need.

If. That is the South America version, stay far, far away from it!  Those hybrid plagues are the worst non-US Samsung's to get stuck with!

Hi there.

Our community members offered some great advice. Did you still need help?

Hi there

Similar question - does anyone has direct experience of using the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G SM-G9880 in Chicago, USA using 5G?  I need a dual sim phone and I just want to make sure that I can use the phone on the 5G band (not only 4G).  Much thanks for any confirmation.

Side note - never understood carriers’ aversion to selling dual sim phones. shee.
