this worked for me .

go to : settings> device> sounds and notifications> vibration intensity

than put the vibration intensity in a high level and that should work 😜

Ringer & vibrate troubleshooting: Basic phones

This may help.

Thank you! I will definitely look into this..

This step is for basic phones. Im looking for troubleshooting steps for Android but I havent found one. 😥

Anyways, seems like the steps are the same so you may want to try that and if its still not working, I highly suggest you contact customer service to assist you better.

have you tried to check the vibration intensity under settings/device/ sound?

Yes, I've tried that...Thanks!

All of the sudden it starts to vibrate and after an hour or less it stops vibrating this started to happen ever since the last software update..

if you have tried everything you might need to master reset your phone or it's better if you reinstall the update through Samsung Kies, simply back your phone and reinstall the update, for a certain reason this update doesn't install nicely on top of the existing one probably one of the bugs the kitkat is having.

Two last places to check:

Settings> Device> Blocking mode> check to see if blocking is set. If so, see that the settings are correct and not the cause of your issue.

Have you inadvertently blocked the callers or group of callers in your phone dialer settings? Or under settings> device> call> check all of the settings.

Otherwise, I see a Master Reset in your future. 😢

I am not sure if she said her phone doesn't vibrate when she receives calls from certain callers? I believe it doesn't vibrate at all, anyways if she will need to reset her phone and since I had to do that myself I would recommend a clean installation using Samsung Kies instead of the master reset, I did the master reset then later I reinstalled the update using Kies and the phone is performing better still having some bugs but hey these won't be fixed by any kind of reset it needs the coming update.

Now you know why I ALWAYS use Kies to install updates! The same thing happen to me on my S3 and ever since then I have used the Master reset... Kies install ...Master reset..Re-install data method. It is what it is and at least a clean install works. 😉

my S3 was unlocked international version that used to receive the updates straight from Samsung which used to be  available on Kies before the OTA may be that's why I never had an update problem but the note 3 received it thru T-Mobile and started downloading so I said well ok no problem I had no idea it makes a difference I never had issues with OTA using every Nokia flagship in the past but hey I will make sure to update using Kies from now on 😉

I think the great majority have no problem with OTA; however, having been a victim once, you take steps to ensure it never happens again. A flaky phone is a real annoyance! 😠

yes maaaaaaaaam

this worked for me .

go to : settings> device> sounds and notifications> vibration intensity

than put the vibration intensity in a high level and that should work 😜
