I am not getting text messages from Chipotle anymore. I was getting them back in September but now they stopped. I contacted Chipotle and they said everything is good on their end - to have my provider enable the short codes. So, how do I enable the short codes?

thank you for responding. No, nothing changed in my account. I stopped getting the texts when I transferred my number/joined with T-Mobile. I get sorry codes from others but not chipotle.

Gotcha - it's a good sign that you're still getting them from other services and not just T-Mobile! Some account types - like no credit check or prepaid accounts - don't have short codes enabled, so I wanted to check. It looks like in your case we simply need to make sure everything's properly provisioned on the back end. Please Community-2153 when you have a moment so that we can take a look and get you back on burrito-track. 😊

Marissa is correct. Simply dial 611 and ask for technical support. Customer service will only tell you that short codes are not blocked, and only tech support will be able to help you.
For some reason, T-Mobile has taken it upon themselves to disable short codes for all customers, regardless of your plan type.
I would hope that in the future, they would incorporate a way working with iPhone O/S providers, e.g. apple, google, etc. to allow users to enable/disable this feature themselves.
I could understand doing it for pay as you go customers, but not for other plans that don't charge for text messaging. If you get an unwanted advert, you simply reply with STOP and by law they must desist.
I used to work as an engineer and a CIO and we developed many applications that depended on short codes for the application to work on any iPhone. We never had this issue with T-Mobile before, but I quit consulting about a year ago, so they must've changed it ??? ...

Have cycled my phone with tmo support. no luck. These so called experts are anything but. My account is 7 days old and I have already called 20 times trying to get sorted out. Very disappointed. Changed the short code delivery on my bank's side to send to my son's phone. works perfectly. Change it back to deliver to my phone and I get bupkis from them. I am receiving shortcodes from Amazon and tmo but not my bank. However the test with my son's phone verified that the bank is working. People telling me they are going to help me is different from actually fixing a problem. I don't appreciate the platitudes when the problem remains unresolved.
I am having the EXACT same issue. I just switch to T-mobile a few days ago and now I cannot get messages from my bank. But my father can get the codes and he has an account with T-mobile. I am using the first Google Pixel Phone and I have contacted T-Mobile and the Short Code messages is turned on.
I used the chat feature to contact support, told them I was getting some short code texts, but not all. They changes something in settings, and it began working right away!
SHORT CODE/TEXT ALERT SOLUTION!
Over the course of the last year, I've contacted T-Mobile and my bank to try and figure out why I am not getting alerts when my account balances reach a certain level. A year ago, I spent about 6-7 hours in-person and on the phone trying to resolve the issue, i.e. not getting a low bank balance warning. Unfortunately at the time, the bank said it was a T-Mobile issue and T-Mobile said it was a bank issue. This year, I've spent about 14 days corresponding with both my bank and T-Mobile again, trying different fixes to no avail.
Sometimes with companies' text alert/short code features, in my case my bank, the service gets a glitch. No one on the engineering side seems to be able to "see" the problem. Most companies' text service have simple commands to prompt a company return message, i.e. BAL for Balance, etc.
THE POSSIBLE SOLUTION FOR YOU: Send STOP to the company text number. Wait a minute or more. Then, send START, to start receiving alerts/short codes again. The STOP/START commands seem to reset the system to start getting messages again. It's the simplest no-brainer...after all that work. =-)

call in to TMO or contact them through either Facebook or Twitter and have them add it to your line. if it was already on there they can remove it and then re add it in case it got garbled up a bit somehow.

if you are having a hard time receiving short code from one specific app/bank then it kind of points to how said bank is sending them out..short code is short code..its in how that bank is trying to send them out..

I’m having a similar issue - I’m unable to receive a short code for verification purposes. T-Force says short codes are enabled on my account but I never receive the text from at least one particular company.
if its one particular company the issue might be on their side...you can click on srickar name right above your post and fire him a message. he can look into it or connect you with someone that can to try and see where its getting bound up.
Not getting any text alerts from my Amex card. Just switched to T-Mobile a few days ago and this issue started.

That confirms T-Mobile is passing the traffic both ways between your device and Amex. If you are not receiving normal traffic from Amex, you would want to contact Amex.
