LG V30 Pie update

Badge +1

Okay, the V30 Pie update has been pushed by LG to the European theater, and to the south Korean market as well.  We all know T-Mobile needs to test it and add their tweaks before release.  It would be REALLY nice to have updates and an estimated time of release this time around!  What say you, T-Mobile? @tmo_jonathan

Tmo_mike confirmed the update but has no timeline as of now.

LG V30 Official Pie

Promising, but a week old.  Since the flood of releases are a couple days old now (all over Europe) to very recent (south Korea), I'm hoping for a more accurate, more recent update!

The Tmobile LG V40 and G7 both have been updated to pie without official dates so

I'm expecting this with Pie also.

Keep an eye on this website , they report the updates.

Yes, that's one of the better ones.  Also:

The first link I have gone to for information but it seems like with TmoNews they

report when users have actually been getting the update sooner.

Well.... their most recent V30 story was March 22nd....

Once someone starts getting the update to Pie they'll have it reported right away

like when it was updated to Oreo.

Probably, yes.  Check the credits they gave for their last upgrade articles 😊

This is becoming even more critical with the video exploit bug reported recently and mitigated with the July security update.

@tmo_mike_c Any more updates?

Thanks, appreciate the response.

This is getting just downright embarrassing and infuriating.

And now the August security update is out, and we're still on... March.  Yay, only five months behind!

LAST LG PHONE I EVER BUY!

It really is appalling. This is supposed to be a flagship phone.  Essential just pushed out Android 10 to their 2 year old model.

This is my take on this. The LG V30 is about to reach its two year anniversary since it was released. What's going to happen is when that two year timeframe comes, T-Mobile is NOT going to provide the update and WILL force us to buy a damned new phone that has PIE, yes, a phone that costs $1000 after we paid all those monthly payments. This same crap happened when I owned the Galaxy Note 7, once it reached the timeframe where no more support was available, I was forced to buy a new phone. It's total BS from Tmo to do this. Think about it, there's no way or real good reason to delay this update soooo damned long. It's all marketing folks, a ruse.

No Pie by the Anniversary means no more T-Mobile for me. I'm already done will LG phones forever.

Tmobile doesn't put out the Pie update LG does so if the update

is scrapped it will be on LG.

The decision to carry the LG brand is on T-Mobile so they are ultimately responsible like it or not.
