An update for the OnePlus 7 series phones was released to Europe/India/world at the end of July. When are TMobile devices getting this same update?  The upgrade to Android 11 that TMobile "tEsTed" junked this phone up pretty bad.  Some issues were fixed in a follow up update, but serious issues with battery and power consumption still exist, which is what this update (11.0.2.1) addresses.

Sorry, right now, the current build for the 7 series is 11.0.1.4.HD63CB and we don’t have any solid word about another update. Since this seems to be a security update, it’s likely something that’ll come this month, but I don’t have any definitive date. We’ll update the support content once there’s more info about the release date.

The models are not directly comparable.  OnePlus tests and releases all of the firmwares for each model.  Check the OnePlus 7 official forum for information on updates and possibly consider applying for the FUT Program, if you want to test future updates and provide feedback directly to the development team.

@syaoran since I obviously have the T-Mobile variant, I'm not sure that any of that applies to this phone...unless I want to install an international version of the OS, which may or may not work with T-Mobile. What I think IS reasonable is for TMO to keep up with these updates as OP fixes issues rather than just let their users deal with the garbage they let out the door because they were too lazy to properly test it.

OnePlus handles the updates for all OnePlus devices.  Even the ones with carrier branded firmware. I was a FUT member for the OnePlus 7 Pro and am for the 8T+ 5G, both T-Mobile sold devices.

Well not only has the link to sign up for the FUT been removed from the OP site, T-Mobile has modified the Update screen in settings and removed the ability to install a downloaded OS from the OP device update page(which I'm 99.9% sure ONLY include the international version anyhow). Which means T-Mobile customers are 100% at the mercy of TMO for updates. Hence my question...When are we going to get an update from TMO for this phone as now we're TWO behind with the recent release of 11.0.4.1?

Carriers request that certain features be included or excluded based on what the carrier wants.  Even the T-Mobile version receives updates from OnePlus, just like all T-Mobile versions of OnePlus devices.  Carriers do not develop updates for any devices by any manufacturer anymore and haven't in a very long time.  The FUT link was probably removed a long time ago.  The OnePlus 7 series is nearing end of life.  Development is pretty much done outside of a few more updates.
