Recently Purchased OnePlus 8 Randomly Restarts

I recently purchased the OnePlus 8 about 4 days ago and within that time I have had the phone randomly restart itself at least once each one of the days.  Whatever app I am using will freeze up and them "boom" black screen followed by the start-up sequence.  Has anyone else had this issue and know why this is happening?  When I made this purchase I debating between this phone and the LG V60 Thinq 5G and think I may have gone with the latter.  Any help in getting this figured out would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

I've had this issue with OnePlus 8 5G (purchased from TM) but it seems to be specifically when I'm using Android Auto, I've had no other restarts before or after. Regardless, it shouldn't ever happen so it might be worth checking non-TM sources to confirm if it's a device issue, or TM build issue. OnePlus released a May update that is supposed to fix a lot of issues but TM hasn't released it for us yet.

Generally speaking, the OnePlus is a solid brand and typically makes great phones. I'd be hesitant to move to a Sony device prior to confirming where the issue stems from. You can try calling OnePlus to troubleshoot as well, here: 18337773633
