Swipe pattern not recognized after April 2019 Tmobile update.

Help please, i update my phone on my Note 8. As you know after the restart of the phone you have to enter the swipe pattern. Well, it isn't working on my phone, the line won't even connect the lines. I can not unlock the phone and i can't access the backup lock setting. I can not get into my phone what can i do? I do not want to have to wipe my phone, i have all my work and school stuff on there. please help.

This is a known Samsung issue with many Samsung devices that spans most of the Galaxy line of devices and more.  Unfortunately, if your fingerprint and pattern fail and you don't have a PIN setup.  You need to factory reset the device.  That will not stop it from happening again though, so make sure you set a PIN the next time.
