Verizon phone on TMobile network VOICEMAIL FAIL!

I switched from Verizon to Tmobile for their unlimited data and text family plan. I am using my Verizon Note 3 and I've been trying to set up my voicemail, but it's been nothing but frustrating. Verizon was not this complicating. Any ideas? Thanks

Hey there!

VM for T-Mobile is on its own server (hence why you have to call an out-of-town number to access it). The phone itself shouldn't have anything to do with being unable to setup voicemail.. Maybe whoever set your account up did something wrong?

Call #793# to reset your voicemail password to the last 4 digits of your phone #. Then call 123 to access & set up your voicemail. If it indicates that you don't have a voicemail box, then it has not been set up on T-Mobile's side. In that case, call 611 & they will create your voicemail box.

Calling 123 and entering 10 digit number however recording states voicemail/number not valid

Sounds like T-Mobile didn't set your number up properly.

Yep. It's not uncommon.

I too am having the same issue, but found a solution.

Download the T-Mobile Visual Voicemail App from the Google App Store.

That would be the best alternative versus going into your dial pad and holding down 1 to access your voicemail which doesn't work.

Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!  This worked for my former verizon samsung S7.

Dial 123 on your phone and that will access the T-mobile voicemail.  Just did it with my newly acquired Verizon Galaxy s5.  worked

This worked like a charm for me. Thank you.
