I have an LG K30.  I use WIFI calling at my dad's because he has poor cell coverage.  About 3 weeks ago it quit working.  I spent about an hour on the phone with support.  They said everything is good on their side it must be our ISP.  They did exchange out my phone, but have the same problems.    I call the ISP and spend another hour for them to tell me it must be T-Mobil.  I just want someone to figure out how to fix it without having to spend another hour on the phone.I have an LG K30. I just want someone to figure out how to fix it without having to spend another hour on the phone.

So looking at that ticket, it says that we showed no WIFI registration attempts to be reaching the network (failed or successful). This indicates that the issue is either with the device or the WIFI network in use. It did show some successful VOLTE calling indicating that the WIFI Network in use is most likely at fault however this could still be a device or device-settings issue. If the issues persists we would need to test using an alternate WIFI network to determine if the handset or WIFI network in use is at fault.

Have you tried going into your settings, general, reset , network settings reset?

Yes.  It made no difference.  As I said, I was on with support for an hour.  Tried everything they could think of and then got the cop-out.

Does it hook up to other Wifi?

Also when you exchanged out the phone did you keep your old sim or replace it?

I really have no idea.  They took my old phone, connected it to the new phone and transferred everything.  They handed me the new phone and I was out the door.

Sim card could be bad if you're using the old sim.

Key question was - Does it work on other wifi systems?

It works on some wifi systems but it is spotty.  It does not work at my dad's who uses Frontier. (Although my dad's IPhone connects just fine to wifi calling).   I works at my house which uses Spectrum.  It does not work at my office which uses Verizon.

I should note - the phone connects to the internet just fine.  It just will not do wifi callinbg.

Is your office and dad's wifi password protected and you have the

correct password?

If so , I would delete the wifi profile , refresh and sign in again.

yes and yes.  i tried that.  did not work

When you say that it stopped working, can you please clarify that a little more?

Is your phone still connected to the Wi-Fi network?
If so, does your phone show that it is connected to Wi-Fi calling?

If your phone is showing that it is connected to Wi-Fi calling, what happens when you try to make a call? Do the calls fail immediately or are they dropping after being connected for a bit? Is the audio garbled?

Beings that you are able to get it to work on other Wi-Fi networks means that the issue is more than likely with your wireless network/ISP combo and I am just trying to narrow down what kind of troubleshooting route we should take.

The phone connects to wifi and the internet just fine.  It will not connect to wifi calling at all.  I just get the little red phone and there have been a variety of error messages.  The one right now is REG99.

I cannot make calls at all at my dad's because there is no cell coverage and the wifi calling does not work.

My dad has an iphone and is also on T-Mobile.  His wifi calling works just fine.  My husband and I both have LG phones and the wifi calling does not work (which used to work find up to a few weeks ago.)

I have been on the phone with support for 2 very long phone calls.  there should be some tickets out there.

Thanks for clarifying! I can't actually see your personal information here on a public community forum. How long ago was the last service ticket filed for this and did you ever hear back on the outcome?

The first service ticket was on 9/1/19 and ticket #24841154.  He tried a million things.  Nothing worked.  He said he would have to contact a specialist and call me back.  He left a message that it was not T-Mobile but must be our ISP.  The next week I spent an hour on the phone with Frontier and they insist it is not them, but must be T-Mobile.  So you see my frustration.  I called T-Mobile back on 9/15.  Shortly into the call, I was disconnected.  I gave up.

I have never gotten this issue resolved.  Very frustrating.  The last service ticket was probably a couple of months ago.

Basically';

I have no wifi calling on either Frontier or Verizon ISP.  It works on Spectrum.

I CONNECT to the internet just fine in all places.  It is just the wifi calling that does not work.

ISPs say if must be T Mobile.

T Mobile says it must be ISPs.

Both my husband and I have LG phones and both have the same issue.

My dad has an IPhone and his wifi calling works fine.

The issue started about 2 months ago.  Worked fine before that.

NO ONE seems to e able to give me an answer.

Still not working.  STILL NOT WORKING!!!!       Still T-Mobile says it is the internet provider.  They say it is T-Mobile.  Finally I contacted LG.  They say that T-Mobile is not properly registering.  That is 2 against T-Mobile.  Either get this fixed or trade our our LG phones for something where the wifi calling works.

I've found that it is NOT enough to turn on wifi calling in our LG phones. You must tap & hold on wifi calling after you toggle the switch, then choose wifi preferred. Also, look for an option to automatically switch to T-mobile network when leaving wifi range.

Yeah - That does NOT work either.

We have Frontier and once I discovered the "wifi preferred" setting, everything works perfectly.

Does not work for me.
