Depending on how the original owner bought the phone they will need to have it unlocked. You would have to be a T-Mobile customer in the US to unlock it. Again you need the original seller to handle the unlocking process. If this phone was purchased on a third-party reseller site you may need to request a refund.

My iPhone was purchased at an Apple Authorized Premium Reseller in Brazil and after six months of use without problems, the iPhone had its IMEI blocked by the American T-Mobile carrier.

The IPhone was purchased in Brazil and used only in Brazil. What is the procedure for unlocking the IMEI of this iPhone? I only used Brazilian carrier SIM card on the IPhone.

That stinks that the IMEI has been blocked☹️ You might want to contact the seller of the device and let them know what has happened. The only way to unblock an IMEI is to find out what account it was purchased under and have an authorized user of that account contact T-Mobile to unblock it.

Good evening . I'm from Brazil, I bought a 16GB iphone 6s abroad. I was using it for over 1 year and 2 months when the phone stopped accepting call, when I checked it was blocked by T-Mobile. I wonder why it was blocked and how to unlock it. IMEI 355733072895854.

It might not have been blocked by TMobile directly. Most carriers report blocks to Apple for a number of reasons. You can try calling TMobile and they might be able to tell you why it is blocked. You can also try contacting Apple as well.

Have you managed to unlock the IMEI from your iPhone?

Conseguiu desbloquear o IMEI do seu iPhone?

I bought anew phone got service would it work in my area,..wanted to use on AT&T paid a lot for phone but T Mobile has it Blocked so I can’t..it’s stupid they do that. As much as I ended up paying for the IPhone I should be allowed to use it on any carrier I want to and it’s not my fault their service does not work in my area..they should of told me that from the beginning before I wasted a lot of money for a useless phone... and to get out of the service contract.. they don’t even care or bothered to check that their service didn’t work in my area when they sold me the phone..so I am now stuck with A IPhone I used a month

I could not, I got in touch with apple. I spent about 40 minutes with them to try to solve and they could not. I was told that I should contact the T-mobile operator because it was blocked by the operator.

I wonder if you have any way to unlock it.

How can we unlock to use?

Here's the predicament we are in because of a blocked imei.  We got a phone for one of our kids 9 months ago from a private seller.  At the time of purchase we verified that the imei was clean at the T-Mobile store.  About 4 weeks ago the phone stopped accepting calls and after a phone call into T-Mobile we found out that the imei was blocked due to non-payment on the original owner's account.  They are refusing to unblock it or tell us how much is still owed on the device, so it's effectively a brick now.  Here's the frustrating thing... turns out that the non-payment was due to a bankruptcy of that private seller that was discharged about 5 months ago.  So by blocking the imei T-Mobile is effectively ignoring  the court order to discharge the bankruptcy and continuing to pursue the collection!!!!  I realize it must be frustrating for T-Mobile to deal with people who default on their payments, but right now they are harming us, an innocent party, and violating the discharge court order.  To add insult to injury, when they chose to block the imei, they did this without any notification to us... so for the past month we've been paying for the service we haven't been receiving!  My 11 year-old who uses the phone to call us from school, didn't even know he is carrying a brick...

PLEASE ADVICE ME WHAT TO DO WITH A BLOCKED PAID CELL

I had a long time Tmobile account, during pandemic I got stucked in a foreign Country, went behind payments and lost my line. When was able to get back to USA called Tmobile trying to recover my line and paid debt in full ($1300). Went to a store and noticed was impossible to have my number back. I opened a new account, used my current cell phone in the new number, Updsated my daughter one to a Iphone 11 and asked to unblock her and then asked to unblock another cell from my son who moved 2 years ago to UK. Of course even he had account and USA number, he wasn’t using that number, besides whatsapp with me. I asked Tmobile to unblock his cell to give him a local UK line and Tmobile said can’t process my request because cell phone wasn’t in USA. What can I do with a unblocked paid cell??
