Recently T-Mobile implemented (with asking) call silencing for all calls not in my contacts or I’ve recently called, as I understand it. I am now missing important calls. How do I either turn off this function, or change settings? I use iPhone SE.

call silencing? are you talking about their spam call blocker? is in an app you see in your phone? in settings somewhere?

im running Android and have not seen anything like that..wondering if its an Apple thing that they added in through one of their updates.

also by chance did it start happening after an update pushed through to your phone?

Thanks for the tip about Apple. You may be right that it was Apple’s doing, not T-Mobile. Very annoying, regardless. FYI, not a spam blocker, just silenced ring and sent directly to voice mail.

On Apple iPhones:

Settings → Phone → Silence Unknown Callers

nice find. dont own an Apple device but did find a handful of complaints about it over on Vs site so figured it was an Apple only deal.

Hi Joann,

go to settings/phone/click on silence unknown callers and toggle it off. I had this problem too and it was silencing my dr’s calls
