The SIM card was transferred from an older phone and since I have updated my phone to a 13 Pro that shows 5G, I now realize that my wife’s phone does not offer that on the cellular settings screen. Do I need a new SIM card or is there an firmware upgrade needed.
if the sim card came out of a non 5G phone previously then yes..it will need a new sim card. the sim card tells it which signals to pull in and not pull in. if its a non 5G sim then it wont tell the phone to pull in that signal..put your sim into hers..if she then gets 5G then its the sim card.
