I recieved a cell, UMX 693CL,from a cousin, it's registered under your company, +1 2016795333, IMEI: 990015177894540. I want to use this phone in Cuba, is that possible? Thanking you in advance!
an UMX phone can be used in Cuba
i would think its very possible..however if its locked to TMO then your “Cousin” will need to contact TMO and have it unlocked as long as all the requirements have been met.
i would avoid posting any personal info on the site here including phone numbers..the site is fully open to the public so everyone and their mom can see what all is posted.
Thanks!!! The problem is the cell networld in Cuba is GSM..and searching at the group of networlds available I found "GSMonly"; should be suitable...but itsn't works...and I can't see what else to do..
Anyway, thanks a lot!!!
The Unimax 693CL is most frequently associated with Assurance Wireless (A Lifeline Assistance provider). It is hard to find detailed specifications for this phone but it almost certainly has at least quad-band GSM 2G. This means that it would be technically compatible with the Cuban network. My concern is that it is SIM locked to Assurance or T-Mobile and that there will be almost no practical way to get it unlocked.
