So I jus order my gateway device, my question is will I be allowed to control the wifi on certain devices? ( Meaning can I turn the wifi off my kids tablets or living room tv at certain times if I wanted to) I guess I should've asked this bf ordering my internet device.

The T-Mobile Gateway app is not that advanced to control access to specific devices individually or as a part of a group. You can connect a router or access point to the gateway with these functions that will allow you a lot more control over your WiFi.
Looking at the IOS app, you can set access per device.
