Joined T-Mobile 1 week ago and got new phone - not getting texts from certain people

One week ago I added a line to my sister’s T-Mobile plan and got an iPhone 13. Previously, I was on Google Fi with a Pixel 5, which runs over T-Mobile’s network in my area. The phone numbers for me and my husband were ported over, which they said was successful. However, I am not receiving texts from numerous people, including my sister, who is on the same plan. Others will receive my texts (SMS, not imessage since they’re android users), but I do not get their replies. MMS group messages seem to work fine, but if my sister tries sending me an individual MMS message, I don’t receive it. I spent over an hour on the phone with support two days ago, and it took me about 30 minutes just to get them to understand the issue. Everything we tried was unsuccessful. What’s is messed up is my husband and I came from the exact same former carrier, and exact same previous phone, but he is not having this issue. I’ve missed important texts from my boss about my work schedule. I can’t waste more time

bad coverage in the Lake Carroll Area of Illinois

I frequent an area of Lake Carroll , Illinois .   This is in Ogle County , near Shannn and Lanark.   Its about on hour from Rockford , IL. The Lake area ( largest private lake in Illinois) is very large and contains homes in the 2 million dollar range and possibly larger . There is a large population of people with a lot of recreation going on.   The Coverage there is terrible and residents leaving there current carriers to join a competitor for better coverage.   Im not sure if this thread makes it to the right people at T mobile , but better coverage would be great.   Your thoughts

switching to refurbished unlocked iphone

I know Tmobile offers good service for new Iphones, but is there anything I should be concerned about in switching my current mobile service from a Moto android phone to a refurbished Iphone? Can I just buy an unlocked Iphone and bring it in to the shop for the correct sim card?

IPhone 13 Pro & 12 Pro low signals

Observed that both IPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro has very low signals (1-2 signal points).5G signals - (1-2 points)Same SIM was placed in Samsung S10e got 5 points/full signal.Can you please help me to get the full signal on the IPhone 12 Pro and 13 Pro.

Throttled into oblivion

Moved to Germany on orders and made the mistake of keeping t-mobile. Kids quickly used up the 5 gigs of high-speed data while we were waiting for our home Internet to be installed. Now, we're finding out our 'unlimited' slower speed data is actually very limited. Rather than 256 kbps, we can occasionally get 60 kbps. The speed is so slow and the signal so intermittent that we have trouble loading a plain-text E-mail, we can't login to apps, and most web pages stall out. High-speed data was used up on the 25th of August. T-mobile messaged that our next allocation of high-speed data would begin on the 23rd of September. Guess I'll have to drop t-mobile as soon possible. What an absolute disappointment of a service.

Home Internet Signal Very Good to Weak

I switched over to Home Internet about 2 months ago. At first I was getting a “Very Good” signal and could easily stream on multiple devices without issue. The last two weeks my signal has dropped to “Weak” and many times we barely getting any throughput to the point where streams are buffering heavily. I don’t think it’s just a router problem because my phones with T-Mobile are running about 1-2 bars when I was getting full bars. Anyone else had this happen?

No 5G service In Ultra 5G Coverage area

My wife and I signed up on 8/20/22. I checked and my residence is in the middle of a 5G ultra zone, but I have yet to get 5G at home on my iPhone12. The best is LTE with 2 bars, but mostly only 1 bar. I have had several conversations with TM (phone and chat) and I get a different answer every time it seems. what I hear most is don’t worry, we are so sorry, we understand, or no worries. Those responses are all BS. I have been told there are upgrades taking place, others have told me there are repairs taking place, but no one will tell me when the problem will be fixed.We came to TM from AT&T because of the 55+ pricing, but I have since discovered that I can get nearly as good a deal with a military veteran discount back at AT&T. Which is where we will be heading in the next few days, unless TM gets it head out of you know where.What I just want is reliable 5G service in a zone that is supposed to have it.

I have brought redmi note 9 pro from india and inserted t mobile sim into it, my signals are going off randomly at certain points and i do not have data usage. pls help.

Cannot receive text messages on new phone

I just switched phones and cannot receive new texts. However on my old phone while its connected to wifi it still receives texts. Old sim card is in new phone and it is connected to network.

Internet speed

My T-Mobile speed in the morning until 10 AM, get about 30-40 mbps.  Then near evening it goes up to 130-140 mbps.

5G router/non Tmoble home internet (dont have the option)

I am looking into getting a Tmobile magenta plan that has the unlimited data option or perhaps maybe a tablet plan with unlimited data to use in a 5G/Lte router. My question for other useres out there is how is this done, Ive tried to do research on this but can not find a clear answer on the subject nor can I figure out what the best option is as far as a router goes. I have an extesive home network but never delved into using mobile data for a home internet source, I also work from home hence the need for a large amount of data (atleast 200gbs/month minimum).for that purpose alone I am sraping by using a tmobile hotspot with 100gb of data and all the hotspots on all the other devices available at home at the moment but need a better solution.Tmobiles home internet is not an available option where I live either so that option is not one I can consider.Routers Ive looked at are:MOFI5500-5GXeLTE-EM9191-COMBO CAT20 LTE + 5G ROUTER (most expensive expensive option)TAKTIKAL 4G LTE-A Cat16

Does the Simply Prepaid $40 plan throttle down to 4G unlimited after 10 gb of 5G or does it become slower than that?

If I use over 10gb of data on 5G, will it throttled down to 4G unlimited speeds or slower?

Mojave valley, AZ cell tower

When will a new 5GUC cell tower b installed and Mojave valley Arizona? A cell tower is well needed here as it would cover not only Mojave valley Arizona but will also cover  burros Arizona/ needles, California/ Laughlin, Nevada if T-Mobile decides to put cell towers here. They would dominate the market as it is. Verizon has poor cell service. Sprint has poor cell service. AT&t has poor cell service. It would be the perfect opportunity to get everyone in these areas to convert to T-Mobile home internet would also be a good idea for these areas as it is network providers are very slim

Semester abroad and switching SIM cards

So I am going to be doing a semester abroad and I was wondering if there is a way to use a local SIM card from Europe but keep my phone number and my T Mobile SIM Card so that when I get back I can resume paying the plan and using it.

why do I get 4G LTE signal when it shows on the map in my area that there is 5G Ultra coverage?

There are pockets in my town that don’t get any signal at all.  Coverage map shows 5G Ultra Coverage - makes no sense.

mobile data dropping while hotspot is active

So this has been happening the past 3 days. Whenever I turn my hotspot on my cellular data drops and I cant use the phone or the hotspot. Its becoming increasingly frustrating since ive been wanting to play on my pc with my friends and talk to them on discord.

Who else HATES the latest update?

Using my 3-4 year old Kindle because my phone is essentially useless since the latest update. Re: videos I get spinning then roughly four words, more spinning ... I used to like this company, however, they've certainly declined.

Beep, Beep, Beep, Line Goes Dead

When I am on the phone for a certain period of time, all of a sudden I hear “beep, beep. beep” and the line goes dead. I then have to call the person back. This has happened 3 times in the last two days. Does anyone know what the issue is? It happens when I have been on the phone call for 10-15 minutes. Thank you.

How is Oneplus 7T connection better than S22 Ultra?

So I dropped my OnePlus7T and figured it was time to upgrade. S22 Ultra seemed like a good pick, however, the mobile data connection is really, really bad. Like really bad…I know nothing can be done about this, but I would have rather used my insurance and got another working phone than fight with something I'm now making payments on.Of all my years with TMo, this is the first time I am completely unsatisfied.
