I bought red magic 6 smartphone. I had no idea that it lacks the crucial bands needed for t-mobile. 

The bands it has are

 A+NSA: compatible with both standalone and non-standalone modes   5G: NR n41/n78 2G+3G+4G： GSM 2/3/5/8 WCDMA B1/2/4/5/6/8/9/19 CDMA/EVDO BC0/BC1 TD-LTE B34/B38/39/40/41 FDD-LTE B1/B2/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B12/B17/B18/B19 /B20/B26/B28/B66

 

It does not receive any calls. But I can make calls from it. It goes right into voice mail even if my phone is on. I am annoyed with this because this was a 700 dollar phone. And now its been 6 months of purchase. 

Can T-mobile adjust its bands so that my phone can have the ability to receive calls too?

Even though it supports some of the bands T-Mobile uses.  That doesn’t guarantee those bands are deployed in the areas where you are using it.  On top of that, your device needs to support T-Mobile’s implementation of VoLTE, which the bulk of overseas devices do not.  As gramps said.  You will need a new phone.  Bands on most devices are not possible to change.

You need to buy a new phone. Tmobile cannot adjust its bands.
