No USIM error code

Apparently this issue with the No USIM code is on going (May2024).

My first Gateway failed after about 12 months.  No biggie.  Tecnical service got me helped out, and i receive the new Gateway 4 days later (Yesterday).   I attempted to set it up today, and got the errror code "No USIM" immediately.   My patience is now running thin.  I do not want to waste more time.  Am i best off taking the unit to my local T-Mobile tomorrow?

For What its worth...T-Mobile please put a list of trouble shooting options and/or Q&A lists with tbese gateway device packages.  In my experiences it's not uncommon at all to have trouble with refurbished devices.

Thank you

@Gkop definitely take your gateway back to a local TM store and ask for a replacement unit. There could be several issues that cause the No USIM error. They will also give you a new SIM; ask them to install your new SIM into the new unit, and then you should be good to go.

Let us know if this solution works for you.

Just following-up.  I would have replied sooner but forgot all about it.   The issue was my own mistake.   I didn't transfer the SIM card to the new unit.  Once i transferred the SIM it worked fine.    The new gateway came with the same installation guide as a brand new unit does.   It says the SIM is preloaded in the gateway.  I interpreted that as the correct instruction, until later that day when i realized it didn't make any sense.

All is good.  Thank you
