I have T-Mobile home internet and my gateway has a port to plug a home phone into. The customer service agent told me I could plug a home phone into that port and use the phone number of my gateway to make and receive calls, but when I try it, the phone doesn’t work. Can somebody please explain to me why the customer service agent would tell me that?
