Home and Business Internet
A dedicated space to talk about all of the things going on with T-Mobile High-Speed Internet
I’m just starting out on T-Mobile home internet but didn’t want to stop using my Asus Router which is set up nicely already to handle everything in this household (both wifi and ethernet). Here’s what I did to avoid any problems. I hooked my Router’s WAN port (which use to go to my cable modem) to one of the two ethernet ports on the back of the T-Mobile Gateway. To avoid double NAT and other problems, I went to Administration on my Asus RT-AX82U and changed it from Wireless Router to Access Point. I made sure to download the Device Discovery Utility linked under Access Point before saving the change so I could get the Router IP address to log into it after the Router reboots. Then just type the new IP into the browser to continue managing the Router. I hope this helps anyone that simply wants to keep using their Router and it’s setup with the T-Mobile Gateway. I can’t totally disable the wifi in the T-Mobile Gateway (mine is the Sagemcom), but I switched it to 5Ghz only in the Tmob
I've got an Arcadyan KVD21 5G Gateway from T-Mobile and used the T-Mobile Internet app to configure it. Everything is working, but when I try and launch the app on my phone, it flickers or a millisecond on the gateway home page, then goes to the initial screen (the one with the magenta “T”) and I just get a spinning gear icon for as long as i leave it there.I try killing the app, but when it's relaunched, the same thing happens. I deleted the app and then reinstalled it from the App Store, but the problem still persists. The weird thing is that sometimes, like first thing in the morning, it connects with no problem. Go figure! Is anyone else having this problem, and if so, have you solved it?As always, thanks in advance for any insight.

Hi, I have had tmobile home internet for several years and have had the same gateway. Now my gateway is broadcasting two ssid's one that I created and on that has the same name with available via tmobile internet on the end. What is the available via tmobile internet one? Is there somewhere to turn it off?
It’s been 10 days since I started using T-Mobile Home Internet. I’m located right in downtown Seattle - My connection is considered “Excellent” and I have a direct view of the cell towers from my windows. The towers are less than 1 mile away. And that’s why I really need to rant about the speeds I’m getting during the day - Just now, I’m slowed to a crawl at 3 mbps for an hour. Then just now, I tested again and it’s at 1~ mbps. This seems to happen every other day with varying degrees of severity. I don’t have any issues during non-peak hours, but even then I’m only getting 30 mbps MAX.What more can you expect your customers to do here? These speeds are unacceptable during the daytime, which is basically at 3G speeds and it occurs way too often for comfort. Please do something about these speeds or no one is going to stick around, at least I won’t be.
I just left Breezeline due to horrible service for over a month, and when it went out from home, my T-Mobile iPhone became my hotspot. After realizing it was more reliable than my landline Internet, I tried the T-Mobile Home Internet. I was shocked to get 700 down and 60 up, consistently, so after two weeks of successful stress testing I dropped Breezeline. With that said, here are my two main frustrations:I have a UniFi network with several APs in my home all connected to a UniFi switch and UniFi router… I am sure you can see where I’m going with this… 1) I do not need the Sagemcom Fast 5688W router OR 2) its WiFi. You cannot disable WiFi on the unit, or put it into bridge mode to bypass the router. I have tried getting into the device with no luck. So now, I have a double NAT situation and the T-Mobile gateway is emitting frequencies that are going unused. This is a huge oversight on T-Mobile’s end. T-Mobile, if you read these, I know a few people using your home internet, and they’r
For the past 2 months I've been dealing with download speeds of zero to 5mbs during weekdays Mon-Fri. If I have anything above 2mbs, I can get a cell signal to report problems. Today it is 1.4 mbs and no cell service even with wifi assist. I can only make SOS calls, otherwise I see “dead zone”. I can't chat with support as I don't have enough bandwidth. Even right now it took 3 min just to load and log into this page. Ive tried reporting poor service once I can get back to 4mbs but they just tell me all is good on their end and it's congestion. Anyone have an email address that I can use to report very poor speeds? Or does TMobile not even care that on Mon-Fri from 8am to 6pm, when I need it most, my phone and TMHI is extremely poor, unstable and unpredictable.

I placed a search on Google and this is the response I got back."This network is blocked due to unaddressed abuse complaints about malicious behavior. This page checks to see if it's really a human sending the requests and not a robot coming from this network.”What does this mean? Is Google trying to block my use of its service because of issues with T-Mobile?
I was getting 300 to 400 mbps download for my 5g gateway. The last couple weeks it’s only been 1-2 during the day and tmobile claimed to be doing site modernization. I called the tech support twice already and they have no solutions for the slow internet. Anyone else can help?
I have a Tmobile internet gateway router. It only goes to weak and Good signal. I have moved it all around the house and get the same result if not worse. Then the rep states they are doing on the tower and I need to purchase a booster. I would have thought that I needed an extender not a booster. Has anyone had this experience with their tmobile wifi router? I canceled my cox for this and I think I may have made a mistake.
Hello, fellow T-Mobile customers. I am merely writing this with the hope that someone at T-Mobile will read it and FINALLY, after SEVEN months of headaches, fix and properly bill me. In December of 2022 I turned in my iPhone XR in exchange for the iPhone 14 and added a line because T-Mobile was running an $800 off the new phone promo. I handed my phone over to an associate in the store. Well, we are coming up on July 2023 and every month I have to waste my time fighting to have my bill corrected because every month T-Mobile does not apply the promo (bill credits.) Every month whomever helps me promises that they have updated and fixed the error, but the next month it is the same old story. At some point I was told that they never received my trade-in, which is absurd because it was not lost in the mail or something. I handed it over in the store! So, did the associate pocket my trade-in?? I was told they would investigate and follow up with me. I never received a follow-up, and then I
I recently got the T-Mobile home internet wireless gateway. My connection to the tower is very good to excellent. Download and upload speeds are great 40-50+ both directions! problem is, it randomly stops providing internet. Meaning, shows will be streaming at length with great speed and then boom. Dead stop. Jump on my mobile device and hit speed test on google, no internet access. I’m still connected to the device, the device is showing connected to the tower with great signal strength, it just seems to stop providing data.Sometimes it starts working again after 30 seconds, then maybe 15 minutes, then maybe I have to go and physically power cycle it. After said time when it does start working again, speeds are great, but the random downtime’s for no reason are puzzling and frustrating.is it just not reliable yet as it has been referred to as a “pilot” service?
when leaving Tmobile for Verizon, does anyone have suggestions on good deals to make the switch? TMobile did not send me the gift cards for bill credits when switching to TMo, and of course the service is really bad. I actually look poorly upon people that have TMobile, which is ironic. Ironic because I mean, I have TMobile, or else i wouldn’t be posting here. Or maybe I empathize with them, and then ask - why do you tolerate this kind of service? So anyway, i’d like to make the change, and would also entertain ATT.I happen to like the way the house looks w no cables hanging off it, but aesthetics will take a #2 to the real #1, which is a need for internet. I would say that TMo does not deliver, you know, the internet, no matter the # of times I reset, call customer service, try a different window, swap devices. TMo really needs to give the Customer Service reps in the Philippines specifically a bonus, they have managed to save me from leaving so many times, but Tmo is not exactly givin
Over 18 years of loyalty, and I got coaxed into getting the home internet. Purchased it October 4, 2023 only to find they came out with a better promo (LESS monthly payment + 50” TV) but they say oh well too bad so sad “sweetie”. So I’m supposed to pay more a month than someone who waited to sign up. Why not just let a customer cancel and come BACK to get the deal and you KEEP a customers business? Instead I was offered to cancel my ENTIRE family plan and go elsewhere. Well done TMobile. Well done
Terrible service I wish I shopped around for different service providers and truly regret ever picking T-Mobile my mobile date never works I have to go to star bucks or the library for free WiFi everyday just to be able to use my internet even tho I pay a lot for my service with having unlimited data I would of thought I could use it but I can’t I regret leasing a phone with T-Mobile because now I can’t leave until I pay off my device but as soon as it is payed off I know I will be leaving to any other company other then T-Mobile and will be sure to tell everyone I know to never get T-Mobile as their mobile service prepaid is even better then this service I can’t even make calls and I see the tower from my back yard !!!
My home internet sucks!!! I wish I would’ve stayed with the cable company. It’s always kicking us in and out of internet connection. We have to unplug it multiple times a day. And if it’s raining or snowing it’s worst. When I call they always say they’re working on the tower but it’s been months if this. Not to mention I can’t connect my printer to the WiFi so my business is suffering behind this. Does anyone have any solutions to the sucky connection and how to connect to the printer?
Trouble with VPN - FortiClient and connection with T-Mobile and what is causing blockage to work network. I am able to connect to internet, however when I log into my FortiClient I am unable to access my work network drive. Where could the issue be, in my home network or with the VPN software?
I am a T-Mobile Home Internet user and was getting benefits from the EBB (Emergency Broadband Benefit) which ended this month. I was eligible to continue benefits under the new Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) but then found out that T-Mobile has chosen NOT to participate in this new program. I am being told I need to switch my service to Metro or Assurance (which require a phone line to get Home Internet). I’m not interested in switching my accounts, but if I have to- I won’t be going to one of their subsidiaries, I’ll move to AT&T or Verizon (both supporting their customers by participating in the ACP. WHY is T-Mobile not choosing to participate in the ACP?? Why is T-Mobile choosing to NOT support their customers in a time of need?
