Home and Business Internet
A dedicated space to talk about all of the things going on with T-Mobile High-Speed Internet
Over 18 years of loyalty, and I got coaxed into getting the home internet. Purchased it October 4, 2023 only to find they came out with a better promo (LESS monthly payment + 50” TV) but they say oh well too bad so sad “sweetie”. So I’m supposed to pay more a month than someone who waited to sign up. Why not just let a customer cancel and come BACK to get the deal and you KEEP a customers business? Instead I was offered to cancel my ENTIRE family plan and go elsewhere. Well done TMobile. Well done
Not sure if anyone really knows a fix or what's going on I've read a lot of stuff about CGNAT and how Tmobile home internet doesn't let you port forward and so when you are out of your house that has the tmo router/modem you can't remote play with either PS5 or XBSX but I've read things that Tmobile is working on it? Is this true? I own a wifi 6e router but I put it in ap mode because I heard that Tmobile, the I think the sagecom fast it's the black one with the little screen, router doesn't like the router being in router modem but I was wondering if there was any way possible to play my PS5/series x, say when I go to my parents house. Is this still not a thing with tmo home internet. I was hoping by now it would be as I get good speeds at my house I just want to be able to access my PS5 from my parents house. Is there anyway I can get this to work without paying money for a VPN service. I really don't want to pay money to use remote play out of my house.
I wonder if any US based Tmobile executive ever used their own off shore based tech support? I seriously doubt it. I can't stand interacting with a anime voiced tech trouble shooter who constantly restates and apologizes for the problem while continually thanking me for being a customer AND NOT fixing the problem
We have been with T-Mobile for about 4 months now. When the internet works, it is great. Great speed. However, about a month ago, our internet on Wi-Fi and cell phones started going down between 8:15 and 9:30 every morning. When this happens, we have no internet coverage on any of our devices, including hotspots. We are right off the interstate in direct line of the tower. Our signal has always been between weak and good. What would cause this to start happening every day? Is there anything I can do? I had to get a backup hotspot device from Verizon to cover me while I work from home. Not as good speed wise, but much more reliable. Any suggestions????
I used to have my TMobile bill on auto-pay via my credit card. With no explanation, I was told I couldn't use my credit card, I had to use my debit card. Now, why would any fool give access to their checking account to a company to debit whenever they felt like it?
It's been over a week since we've been waiting on our device. We paid for expedited shipping. Every time we call to see what's going on they can't access our "account" since we don't have an account number due to not receiving device. We have a tracking order that says it's still not shipped and delayed. We couldn't even get a refund on what we've paid for expedited shipping since they can't access our "account".
December of 2022 we got the email we have a spot for service available in our area. Fast forward to the past couple months, gateway randomly disconnects throughout the day. No explanation no cause or reason. Turns out our address isn't eligible for service (as of today). So we'll continue dealing with disconnects. I wish we had another better option 😕
Has anyone needed to reboot their gateway at least once a day-Last few days randomly my internet stops working and rebooting the gateway always fixes it-but-This is getting old fast and I am wary as to how long it will be before rebooting will no longer work-I fear that my gateway may be faulty-What say the experts-
This company has the worst and most expensive service available, cancellation should take no longer than 20 minutes usually takes about an hour . Not to mention trying to cancel your service you can tell them 30 times that you’re going to cancel your line and they will try and get you to hang up so you don’t cancel your service, it gets to the point where you have to be rude for them to cancel your line.
We need more features to be able to use 5g as a viable home internet solution.. A manageable firewall for the home user that allows, at minimum, for port forwarding. The ability to define your preferred DNS provider. The ability to define your DHCP scope.Configuring multiple SSIDs that are similar to the default, instead of having to manually create the same-named network on 2.4 and 5.0..Throttling options for individual networks There is so much left to be desired w this solution. Or have the solution as is, but offer an upcharge for a compatible gateway that offers these solutions/advanced options. Something.. I'm happy w the service itself, but saddened by the lack of options.
