T-Mobile 5G router

I'm new with this 5G stuff, so my question is the router supposed to be on all the time and is the screen supposed to be lit up all the time ?

tp 1750 WIFI EXTENDER

Just received my 5G gateway . I was able to get all my tvs and phones setup but not able to get my tp ac1750 extender to recognize the Gateway. Am I missing something?

Internet data use

Five months in on new TMobile internet service and loving it but have questions on why data use is showing so high.  Situation:  Nokia gateway.  I have a home security camera NVR connected to one of the ethernet ports on the gateway.  On the other available connector on the gateway, I have an ethernet cable that runs to a 16 port non managed switch to which 7 IP cameras are connected.  NVR records on these cameras 24/7 continuous, and there is no cloud upload or storage or anything like that.  This NVR system was new the same time as moving to this internet service so I don’t have historical to compare before and after data use.  Would this configuration of the camera system cause high internet data usage for some reason?  The only other devices using internet are a couple smart wifi light bulbs, smart thermostat, and a smart tv that is powered off at night.  Computer, ipads, etc. are all powered off all night, but I still see high data numbers in the tmobile app under usage that displ

laptop wont stay connected but all my other devices work fine

Got the gateway like maybe 3 weeks ago which works great on everything besides my gaming laptop (Asus rog zephyrus g15) it connects for maybe a minute then it will say no internet. It's annoying since I been trying to play some online games on my days off from work. Anybody have any ideas what I can do?

Full configuration of DHCP and other network services

Is there a way to get into a configuration screen for the KVD21 5G Gateway? Ideally, I'd like to connect my gateway to an existing TP-Link router to supply wireless and DHCP. I can work around the wireless by giving the KVD21 5G Gateway a separate SSID than the router, but I don't see any way to get into DHCP and configure or disable it on the gateway.I understand that T-Mobile is looking for simplicity of use for the overwhelming number of users, and I certainly think that’s commendable. Nonetheless, for those of us who understand the basics of networking, access to advanced features would be a major improvement.

HELP needs my internet keeps going out and tech support can do nothing about it

Hi, I moved into a retirement community in Tucson that’s mostly Mobile homes that aren’t mobile. I can see the tower right out my window, the TV’s say the signal is excellent and the Gateway says its good but the internet keeps dropping usually around the same time every day and it’s really annoying. Is there another modem/router I could buy that would help the dropping? Or anything else I could try? Is it because I live in a mobile home? I also have to go outside if I want to send my daughter $ from my phone. I really need some help!

Bandwidth dies every afternoon

For the past few weeks my internet bandwidth drops from  80M - 180M to under 1M, and often completely drops out.  Router reboots (Hard and soft) as well as system resets do not resolve the problem.  This happened a few months back but got better.  Current  situation is untenable.

Express VPN not working with TMHI

Just set up our new Tmobile home internet. Phones all connect fine, even with VPN. Computer w/out VPN connects fine. Computer with Express VPN will connect (but oddly still says No Internet, even though it IS connected?) but then keeps dropping. Is this service compatible with VPN connections? Seeing mixed responses and suggestions. Need a really dumbed down version of what settings may need to be changed if it is compatible and it’s just a matter of adjusting something in the VPN settings. Otherwise - not going to work in this fully work from home environment, sadly.

Switch Lite and VPN - Need help

I have the 5 G home internet. It’s a black box. I think the model is Fast 5688W. I also have a Switch Lite and from my understanding my internet with T-Mobile gives me a NAT D type on my Lite which means I cannot go online to visit other islands in Animal Crossing or Online with anyone in any other Online Available game.  According to T-Mobile, they use dynamic IPs, so they change instead of staying static. From what I’ve garnered, Nintendo doesn’t want that. I’ve Googled and found either I can add a VPN to the router (probably not) or set up my laptop as a mobile hotspot. Except I tried that and it didn’t work. I was using Free Proton VPN.I am willing to BUY a VPN plan if I can figure out what to do. I cannot use my cell as a hotspot as Metro charges for that and I don’t want to pay for such limited GB.  What can I do to gain access to online or changing my NAT type?

5G Internet price drop

I think it's nice of T-Mobile to drop their price to $25. I wish I was told that 2weeks ago when I signed up for the setvice. Especially now that exosting customers can't be put on that price scale.Even being a10 year customer doesn't saem To matter. One demerit for customer retention.

Rolling IP address problem

My credit union requires a persistent IP.  T-Mobile uses rolling IPs, thus prohibiting us to get on our credit union site for any business.  Are there any fixes to this problem?

DATA USAGE ACCURACY

Been monitoring our daily usage because we’re on an expensive tiered plan. When exceptionally high usage shows up, I note activities that may be the cause--such as Zooms, streaming video, etc.Even though we’re on a “data diet”, T-Mobile has been reporting some exceptionally high usage that doesn’t jibe with our activity. Anyone else experience this?

weak signal

I have had t mobile almost a year no issues. Monday morning the signal went weak and has been since. No bad weather no power surges. They sent new gateway nothing changed. I moved it to every spot the app shows is a good place nothing. Now they are sending new sims card but I asked IT people they said rare that this is issue I work from home it’s so slow and freezes constantly. Can’t get tv I stream and my ring cameras don’t work. Any ideas I don’t want to change but will

T Mobile wifi questions

It looks like there are 4-5 Routers to choose from. Are some better than others?  I currently have a Velop/Linksys mesh system. Is T Mobile compatible with mesh systems? I’m currently speed testing around 125 on my AT&T wifi system. Can I expect better speeds on T Mobile?

How do I report an issue with home internet mobile app?

The home internet mobile app provided by T-Mobile has an issue. My router will often be connected to the tower but stop providing internet to connected devices, and the devices are all connected to the router by either Wi-Fi or Ethernet. When this happens the router must be rebooted. Upon opening the mobile app it shows a screen with the following:1 Go to Wi-Fi settings on your phone.2 Connect to the T-Mobile Wi-Fi network and enter your password.3 Return to the app to continue.A button with “Go to settings” in red.If I go to settings, my Wi-Fi shows connected to my SSID but also says “cannot provide internet”.If I close settings, the T-Mobile app may proceed to the status page showing how many bars are present connecting to the tower and an X between the gateway and internet (tower). If I get here I can touch “more” then choose to reboot the gateway. This is fine. I don’t like the fact I must reboot the gateway so often, but like the T-Mobile speed and price, so put up with it.This is

Wi-Fi tower's range

Is there a way to increase my Wi-Fi Tower’s range? On other brands you can add a wire to them to help pull in the signal. Does T-Mobile have something like that? I only pull in one bar at my house.

Anyone have a Sagemcom Fast5688W and not having power cycling issues?

Is there anyone who has a Sagemcom Fast5688W who is NOT experiencing the dreaded powering up random reboot problem? I’ve already gone through (1) sagemcom replacement and the about to get my 2nd replacement and I’m just wondering how this is not a known issue given so many in the community are experiencing this. Some have said that swapping out with an Arcadyan model seems to have resolved the issue, but unfortunately it looks like they are out of stock of those.Is there any light at the end of the tunnel for those experiencing this issue?

Home internet service really sucks lately

Hey T-Mobile , why is my home internet service so bad lately? Also, why don't the people who answer my calls speak English?If i had to compare my recent experience with T-Mobile home internet to anything else in the world. I would compare it to having dental surgery without anesthetic.The service sucks!The customer service sucks!Give me one good reason to stay with your service....

Sag Fast5688W REBOOT

On my second Sag unit in 2 weeks.  They both worked fine for the first two days. Great speeds then the dreadful power on off reboot. Now its rebooting bout every 2 hours. From previous complaints there has to be a bad design or batch out there. Has anyone found a solution other then returning for another unit over and over again? My signal level is full bars, it just the power rebooting problem.

Hi.A new user, and I was handed an ARC-KVD21. Have connected several devices easily, but the Windows 10 box won’t do it. The gateway gets a “good” signal.Ethernet line works fine (on it now); wireless does not.WLAN AutoConfig service is started and Windows power off is disabled.Before attempting to make wireless connection I disable the Realtek local area connection. Unsure if this is actually necessary.The odd thing is, starting WiFi in windows 10 does not work. It shuts itself off right after turning it on in Settings/WiFi.I realize this is not strictly a T-Mobile issue (I believe) but I’m rooting around for fixes.
