Will Nest cameras work with Home/ Business Internet?

Can I use Nest cameras with the T-mobile internet router? I don’t need them on 24/7, but need them to stay connected so I can check in on them.

Home internet and wi-fi extender

Home Internet has deficient security (WPA/WPA2).  No reset on T-Mobile router.  No D-Link Extender recognition of T-Mobile Home Internet and no way to resolve.  All responses to numerous posts on this issue say “should” when referencing connectivity.  Sounds like they’re written by T-Mobile employees.  I’m looking for a simple yes or no, and if yes, how.  Brand new (9-26-22) T-Mobile home internet trying to use D-Link 1610 extender.

Modem drops internet service every night

I have had the Home Internet for two months and I have noticed that the modem drops the internet almost every night between 9 pm and 11 pm. When I use the Home Internet app to access the modem I see that the signal strength is showing as good but there is no internet. Speedtest.net will not run and all the YouTUBE TVs go down but the WiFi is up and working. I end up seeing the modem restart command from the app but I usually have to do that 2 or 3 times to recover. Last night I actually had to unplug the modem. The behavior is not acceptable.

Slow internet speeds on 3 different bands - help decipher these stats

Hello,I have the Nokia gateway and have installed a Waveform 4x4 Mimo panel antenna.I get different bands when I reboot sometimes and have taken screenshots (attached below) of my stats when on these different bands.The best download I’ve gotten has been about 15Mbps which just won’t work for me and is unstable/unreliable (most of the time I get under 10Mbps) and the best upload I’ve gotten is around 50Mbps when on the N71 band.I need more download speed than upload speed and have tried moving/aiming the antenna, but through rebooting several times, it will sometimes pick B2/N41 or B66/N41 or B2/B6 with N71.I don’t know what I need to do or if there is a more powerful antenna or if I need to point the antenna away from where it is now, etc.I thought being on the N41 band would give me great download results, but it’s actually the slowest download speed.Can you look at my screenshots and tell me what I need to improve and give some suggestions on how to do that, please?  I put the bands

2 T Mobile Gateways?

I currently have a Nokia gateway through TMobile and me and my son both work from home and have our computers plugged into it.  I, however, will be moving my office to the basement, 2 floors down, and with VPN on wireless, the speed drops substantially.  Is there a way to have 2 TMobile gateways, 1 just designated to my computer alone, or is there a better way to get us both hooked up to the 1 without a substantial cost and headache?  Mind you, my daughter also has her computer and streams on her TV on the 3rd floor, and we now have about 12 devices total utilizing the gateway, 10 on wireless.Thanks for any help!

Newbie to TMHI...so what are we supposed to do with IPV4 devices?

I just set up my TMHI “router” (yes, in airquotes), and am very happy with the speed, but I’m not happy that a couple of my devices won’t connect to it at all. Neither my 2021 wired Ring Doorbell, nor my Sense Labs home entergy monitor will connect to the router.  I switched the mode from Automatic to 2.4GHz, but no luck.I’m guessing it is related to the router only handling IPV6.  As soon as I switched the devices back to use my old router (an actual real router...Linksys EA7500), both devices reconnected with no issues.I’m thinking of connecting my EA7500 to the TMHI router, and just continue to use it as I did when it was connected to my Spectrum cable modem.Any thoughts on how this will work for me, and what the disadvantages may be to doing so?  Does anyone have an alternate solution to accomplish getting these devices to connect to the TMHI “router”? Thanks,Bill

Phone not automatically connecting to 5g internet

I set up my new router yesterday and so far I've only connected my PC via extender and my phone.When I connect my phone, I put in the password and it connects but every time I get disconnected I have to reconnect and enter the password again. Also it doesn't show connected on my list like my other network did - it just has the wifi icon at the top which is the only way I know I'm connected. I don't know how to fix this but it's not going to work long term since I turn my wifi off every night and of course leave the house sometimes.

Troubleshoot Canon printer connection using USB

My Canon printer which worked fine with my previous internet provider has difficulty seeing the gateway. I am trying to establish connection via USB cable.  It sees my network, but never makes the connection. I tried to connect manually, but it asks for WPS, WPA, WPA2. I do not find this information on the gateway itself. Any ideas? TY

Home Internet Gaming Problem

I recently started test driving T-Mobile home internet at my house, and it's worked great for everything except games, where I'm having a weird issue with some of them. When I try to play Apex Legends on PC, the game will connect and play really smooth for anywhere from 1-3 minutes, and then all communication will be lost, which will take 20 seconds for the game to kick me out to the main menu. If I go back into the game from the main menu, it'll work fine untill the 1-3 minutes elapses. During all of this my PC never loses connection, and this issue occurs over wifi and ethernet. This issue probably does not lie with the game as this issue does not occur with other ISPs, and it did not coincide with an update. A similar issue is happening with Splatoon 3 on the Nintendo Switch, where the game will play superb for 30 seconds to 2 minutes before dropping the connection.  Is this a known issue with the service or gateway, is there anyway I can debug my connection, and does anyone know an

lte sinr=poor, 5g sinr=excellent...

So my router shows poor sinr on lte, while it's excellent on 5g. I imagine that's better than poor on both. Is the poor sinr on lte side typical for theserouters, or is it something that I  ought to look into improving?

Home internet becoming unreliable after few months

We got T-Mobile home internet AND upgraded to Magenta Max at the same time on our phone plan because it was a total of $50 per month (either pay $50 per month for internet or upgrade to Magenta Max on phones for $20 and then pay $30 for internet). The internet worked great for the first 2 months. Then it started dropping signal once, twice, now multiple times a day. I work from home and can’t be on a zoom call when signal drops.  My work computer takes longer to find the signal once dropped than other devices due to vpn and firewalls but that’s how companies keep data secure. I’ve called a T-Mobile and been on the phone for an hour doing all their tests. I was transferred to another tech who told me see how it works tomorrow now. He said he’d call me at 2pm to see if any drops that day. I recorded drops at 8am and again around 9:30. Then when he tried to call me, internet dropped again and the call went t9 voicemail instead after 1 ring. He left a message saying he assumes all good but

5G internet Fast and Reliable When!?

I signed up for the home internet, I live in a small town in western Washington.  I decided to get it because my 5G phone gets 80+ mbs down with really nice latency.  So I get the box, I get a great 5 bar connection and for a couple days I experienced 80+ mbs down.  I’m almost half way through my 14 day trial. During the day and on weekends, I see 0.28 mbps while my phone, right beside the box, gets 80+.For days now I’ve been testing and testing.  At night it improves for a few hours before it’s back to nothing during core work hours.  I don’t see a point in customer support people across the planet with scripted responses.  They wont directly access the box and they wont alleviate any throttling, they say “the tower is being worked on” or send another box, and all it does is buy time till my trial is over.Am I missing something here?  Most people who seem to have an ok experience with the internet live in metro areas where they don’t even need it and have other options such as cable.

I’m in Dallas, TX. Home Internet shows 5 bars for connection quality but speed test shows 0.34 download 0.00 upload. So do # of bars just represent my connection to the nearest tower and not the connection I am paying for? Customer service wait time shows greater than 1 hour. T Mobil phone service is bad today too. Is there a way to tell if there is an outage?

Whistle.com gps dog tracker

I just recently switched from Spectrum as my ISP to Tmobile home internet black gateway (Aug 2022).  Everything moved over ok except for my two gps dog collar tracker devices.  According to Whistle.com the device wants to be on 2.4gzh (so I changed it)... doesn't like WPA3  (changed that).  Still couldn't connect.  Further reading found that the gps device will not work with ipv6. Doesn't seem to be a way to change this on gateway.  Am I missing something? Thrilled to ditch Spectrum but this might be a deal breaker. Why is the gateway so user limited?

iphone 14 wont connect to T-Mobile internet

I just got my new iPhone 14 yesterday and it will not connect to my T-Mobile internet. I keep getting a message that says “this network is operating on wifi channels in use by several other nearby networks”. It suggests restarting, which I have done several times and it doesn’t work. I have other devices connected, so what is the problem?

New 5G Home Internet: phone blazing fast, laptop not so much

I setup the new 5G home internet gateway, have a 3-bar “solid” signal and when I connected my iPhone11 it’s getting a speed test of around 222 Mbps download speeds.  The laptop I use for work also connected to the same gateway (5Ghz band) runs a speed test of 52-146 Mbps varying range.  The laptop has 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6.  Any ideas why the disparity and how to address the laptop speed? Thanks in advance

How Do I File A Complaint with the FCC and the FTC Against T-Mobile for Break of Service Contract?

I am a T-Mobile Home Internet customer, living in a rural area of America and I believe T-Mobile is intentionally throttling my home internet service because my Contract guarantees me One Price for Life and they are trying to drive me away as a customer.Or they might have some other another reason for intentionally throttling my service.The point is, I believe this throttling is INTENTIONAL. I have been the victim of intentional throttling by cell phone service providers in the past and Home Internet Service Providers who relied on cellular networks for their service to me and I KNOW what that looks like! TM Home Internet down in Prescott Valley

Our local 5G tower has been down since Sunday evening 9/11/22, when a severe thunderstorm passed through. Each time I call support, all they can tell me is that a crew is working on it. There doesn’t seem to be any way to predict how long the repair is going to take. We’ve now been without their Internet service for five days.Since I’m new to TMHI (about 5-6 weeks), I’m wondering whether this is a frequent problem with their service?So far I haven’t disconnected my other Internet provider, but was planning to do so at the end of September. I can’t afford to pay for two providers!

Issues with logging into the Web GUI web interface -5G home interface While not a major issue with me as my internet service here is 287-298 Mbps download and 3-6Mbps upload. Not bad, considering the gateway shows 2 bars.There so far is no issues with the gateway modem thus I use the home wifi app to set up and change the default network name. What has confused me was when it comes time to access the Web GUI router login page.It wants the username and password. My first assumption was to use my T mobile account user name (which is usually email) and password to sign into the Web GUI. esp after you finalized things on the home wifi app.The home wifi app had me change the default password. But apparently the web GUI does not carry over the changes and is weird since it is stored on the gateway. Maybe a firmware fix??? My initial reason to visit the GUI web page was to change the screen time out to "always on". On many modems it has most menu settings on the device. Well it wouldn't take
