I have a Samsung S23 and S24 from TMobile - currently paying off. Tmobile reps told me my phone will work just fine in South Korea but someone *in* South Korea tells me that's not true and I'll have to get a new plan when I arrive. I am SO confused. This is my first phone plan and the reps have not been very helpful. Can someone please shed light on the subject for me?

Tmobile plans aren't meant for long term International roaming and 50% of the monthly usage needs to be on Tmobile USA towers and the line can get canceled for excessive roaming after 90 days.
So you're going to need to unlock the phones and check the compatibility with the Korean provider.
