Does insurance cover a shortage to the charging port?


    I have a Samsung Galaxy S8+ that must have shorted when i went to charge it last night because now it wont charge at all. It shows the lighting bolt in the battery area as if it is charging, but gains no battery percentage. After an hour of charging in was loosing charge. At this point the phone has completely run out of charge and will not turn on. Oh, did i mention that this is my warranty replacement phone that shorted not even 6 hours after getting from the T-Mobile store near me... my previous phone (Also a Galaxy S8+) must have also shorted, but both I and the store worker figured it to be a software issue. Does the T-Mobile insurance plan cover shortages to the phone and can i fill out another warranty claim so close to the first?
