Network & Coverage
Let's talk about our coverage, signal, and roaming experience.
Hello, I received text alerts saying that one of my T-mobile line has reached $135 in international call charges. So this is my first time with T-mobile and I'm just confused, am I going to be getting charge an extra $135 plus my plan bills? I never had this happened with my other carrier so this is why im asking. Thank you!
My plan includes unlimited data (and messaging) out of the country. I called T-Mobile to ask a couple of questions about using the phone while out of the country, and the Tech Support agent told me not to make WhatsApp (or Facetime) calls because they count as calls and are charged at the rate of $0.25/min. I argues that WhatsApp calls consume data, not voice minutes, but he still said I will be charged if I make WhatsApp calls if not connected to wifi. Is he right?
Hello, I recently moved and decided to ditch Cox and switch. Have had no major issues with our internet usage and some occasional online gaming with our Xbox. However, I am unable to play any Nintendo Switch game online due to the NAT type. Is there anything I can do to change it?
Hello, I've been with T-Mobile for over a year after switching from boost with my lg k51. I've been having issues, despite having full LTE bars, I can't make calls, I get “call ended” within a couple seconds, I can't revive calls, don't get voicemails or notifications telling me I missed a call. Its getting pretty annoying, the rest of my family that's on T-Mobile don't have any of these issues. I looked over the website and tried some of their solutions but nothing has worked. What's happening?
I just recently made the mistake of switching from Verizon to T-Mobile. I’ve never had connection problems with Verizon. The minute I switched to T-Mobile I was no longer able to use the internet on my phone without being connected to Wi-Fi. It doesn’t matter where I am, the 5G never works. I have downloaded internet speed tests to check the 5G and regardless of where I am, I receive a poor connection. The speed test shows I’m currently using a tower 20 miles from my location. When I contacted T-Mobile, they said nothing was wrong with my service and offered to send me a new phone. I’m waiting to receive the new one but I am not expecting much to change based on all the horrible reviews I’ve been reading.
The problem started January 2022 with both of our phone getting really bad service in the heart of downtown San Diego. T Mobile coverage map shows 5G enhanced services in all of downtown San Diego but when we test both of our phones Samsung S22 Ultra and IPhone 11 Pro Max we get less than LTE for a 3 block radius and tech support has checked the phone many time in store and online . The cell tower has been getting upgrades for 9 months and nothing changes even when a ticket is sent to tower site staff that say they respond they have 5G service. So should we file a complaint with the State of California consumer affairs for consumers fraud with miss leading marketing of services that tech staff say isn’t there. We have called 10 Plus time and get no help. We asked for a create for less than LTE services for 9 Months and the best T Mobile can offers is $75 when we have paid over $700 in charges. Really at the end of our rope with T Mobile and how you do business HELP
I want to use my iPhone in France for text messaging, web surfing and google maps (I hardly ever make or receive phone calls). When I land in France, will my iPhone and plan just continue to work or do I need to something? I want to confirm what I read. My understanding is that with Magenta Max, phone calls in and out will be $0.25 per minute, text messaging and data are free, but at much slower network speeds. Is this accurate or do I need to buy an international plan?
I haven't been particularly happy with my S20 FE 5G (TMO), and I'm considering upgrading to the S22+ I've had lots of reception problems with the S20 FE 5G. SMS messages have not gone through, or show up in duplicate or triplicate sometimes, or sometimes images don't get sent. I've read that the S22+ has much better signal reception/radios? Curious to hear from those who have upgraded, or who live in areas with marginal reception and have the S22 Since I never have these problems with WhatsApp, I'm assuming that this is a carrier network problem. I'm just outside Chicago city limits, at home I have to use 4G since 5G doesn't work very well, a few blocks from here I get no cellular signal at all, and a few block further up it's 5G all the way. I'm hoping the S22+ will be able to get me 5G everywhere, or at least eliminate the dead-zone.I’d also be interested in general comparisons, speed, features, between the S22+ and the S20 FE 5G.I'm primarily concerned about signal reception howeve
