Network & Coverage
Let's talk about our coverage, signal, and roaming experience.
I am looking into getting a Tmobile magenta plan that has the unlimited data option or perhaps maybe a tablet plan with unlimited data to use in a 5G/Lte router. My question for other useres out there is how is this done, Ive tried to do research on this but can not find a clear answer on the subject nor can I figure out what the best option is as far as a router goes. I have an extesive home network but never delved into using mobile data for a home internet source, I also work from home hence the need for a large amount of data (atleast 200gbs/month minimum).for that purpose alone I am sraping by using a tmobile hotspot with 100gb of data and all the hotspots on all the other devices available at home at the moment but need a better solution.Tmobiles home internet is not an available option where I live either so that option is not one I can consider.Routers Ive looked at are:MOFI5500-5GXeLTE-EM9191-COMBO CAT20 LTE + 5G ROUTER (most expensive expensive option)TAKTIKAL 4G LTE-A Cat16
I have a sprint account with a T-Mobile SIM cards in a S22 and an A715G. At home, mobile data is consistently decent at 5G. We don’t have 5GUC in our immediate area but are surrounded by 5GUC a mile out or so. However, go outside a half mile radius and mobile data grinds to a halt despite still being in 5g or 5gUC. I’ve tried restarting, cycling airplane mode, turning off and on mobile data, and refreshing APN to no avail. Anyone have any thoughts?
There has been no service in my area Cliffside park NJfor almost 2 weeks now. It’s not just my phone but even my neighbors are complaining. I called t mobile and all they tell me is to reset my network settings on my phone and they will look into issue. but it’s not my phone it’s literally so many people in my area. Service comes and goes and is gone for most of the day.
Hi so I've been with t-mobile for a short while it works well other than being spotty in areas but is very inconsistent I thought this was fine at first until I was traveling and got stranded even though I was on a main highway I couldn't make out any calls with no cell reception when on this road it's jumped from none to 5g multiple times it makes no sence and for something that's supposed to be reliable it has a bad way of showing it especially the customer service your lucky to get someone that's not gonna send you from department to department or force you to wait forever just to do anything
Is it true or just rumor that iphone 12 have connectivity issue when you connect your hoverboard with your phone. I need the information if it is true. When will a new 5GUC cell tower b installed and Mojave valley Arizona? A cell tower is well needed here as it would cover not only Mojave valley Arizona but will also cover burros Arizona/ needles, California/ Laughlin, Nevada if T-Mobile decides to put cell towers here. They would dominate the market as it is. Verizon has poor cell service. Sprint has poor cell service. AT&t has poor cell service. It would be the perfect opportunity to get everyone in these areas to convert to T-Mobile home internet would also be a good idea for these areas as it is network providers are very slim
So this has been happening the past 3 days. Whenever I turn my hotspot on my cellular data drops and I cant use the phone or the hotspot. Its becoming increasingly frustrating since ive been wanting to play on my pc with my friends and talk to them on discord.
When I am on the phone for a certain period of time, all of a sudden I hear “beep, beep. beep” and the line goes dead. I then have to call the person back. This has happened 3 times in the last two days. Does anyone know what the issue is? It happens when I have been on the phone call for 10-15 minutes. Thank you.
So I dropped my OnePlus7T and figured it was time to upgrade. S22 Ultra seemed like a good pick, however, the mobile data connection is really, really bad. Like really bad…I know nothing can be done about this, but I would have rather used my insurance and got another working phone than fight with something I'm now making payments on.Of all my years with TMo, this is the first time I am completely unsatisfied.
Regularly, when I wake, I find my internet service is down. My usual fix is to do a restart of the gateway. But, If we are out of town for an extended period I need a way to do a restart remotely. I am wondering what the steps would be to do a remote restart of my T-Mobile gateway so I can access my devices such as thermostat, weather station, etc.?

My Samsung A52 phone updated a few days ago. Ever since then, all calls go straight to voicemail. When a call tries to come through the cell strength bars at the top of the screen change to the Do Not Disturb symbol. I’ve done a full factory reset and I still have this problem. I’m also having trouble sending text messages. The only way I can get them to go through is to turn my phone on Airplane mode, and then toggle it back off.
Hello, I bought a new phone, the Kyocera 702KC. It is fully unlocked and when I popped my SIM in, it gave me a bar and I attempted to make a call, in the middle of the ringing, I got disconnected and can not join T-mobile again. I was told to set-up APN, but I do not know what to type in. When I go to network setting, and click on T-mobile, it says “can’t connect to this network right now, try again later”
I'm taking my family on a 2-week RV roadtrip to Alaska later this month (we are from GA, and plan to stop at Anchorage, Homer, Seward, Kenai Fjords, Chitina, Valdez, Paxson, Denali NP, Talkeetna etc.). I've googled about T-mobile in Alaska but got either dated or confusing info. I called T-Mobile and was assured that my T-moble ONE will work just as it does in Atlanta--> i dont need to turn anything on, and all the unlimited talk and data will automatically work on the GCI network when i arrive in AK. Can someone with recent experience tell me what I'm up for:1. Do i need to turn roaming on on my phone?2. will T-mobile work in Alaska (understand that coverage can be spotty. but to the extent that GCI has coverage will T-mobile work?). is there cap or throttle or surcharge on my data/speed/talk (i've heard anywhere from 200mb to 5gb data caps)?3. should i purchase additional add-on from T-mobile for this trip? the custy rep told me that for $15 a month i can upgrade to the ONE Plan P
I’ll be traveling to Italy in September. I have an iPhone 13 Pro with an eSim, on T-Mobile. while I know I can pre-buy international plans from T-Mobile including those with data, on my last trip in 2017 I found that the data speed availability (then with my iPhone 6S) was 2G if lucky, and generally below; that was essentially useless. I don’t know which carrier(s) T-Mobile uses in Italy, but it was dreadful. For this year, I’m considering buying a SIM card over there. However, since I don’t have a SIM card in my phone now, I don’t know how this is going to work. Will it totally disable the eSim? Will I have to go back to a T-Mobile store in the USA upon my return to make the eSim work again? Or, will it revert to the eSim when I remove the Italian SIM? Will I have to “wipe my phone” in order to do any or all of this?I want to use the phone for navigation while over there, so reasonably good data is essential. I could barely get email or messages over 2G back in 2017 and do NOT want tha
