Can't always send a Text on iphone xr

I only get one bar and can’t always sent a text. When I have two bars  I have no problem but when it goes to one can’t send text but then when it jumps back to two bars I get a bunch of texts at the same time. Was a Sprint customer and never had any problems . Don’t know how to fix this problem

are there any other TMO phones around you? and if so are they running into the same reception issues or just your phone?
