failed text

Literally just switched from Att to tmo...I got a brand new galaxy s21 with in steps from the store I started to experience failed text issues. The phone is up to date and strong full 4g lte and at home full bars connected to wifi...still its like every other text fails. I've seen the usually retorts restart phone, check wifi connection turn on and off airplane mode...seriously what last phone with att was a galaxy s9 not a single issue with failed messages and the sent fast...this phone if the text does go through takes a hot minute...seems to be a very common on-going issue no matter what plan or phone one has with tmo...feeling duped into thinking tmo was something more than they say. What can I do? I've my due diligence and trouble shooting all the recommended steps....this is quite annoying.
