Samsung Note 8 from Verizion getting terrible speeds

My wife and I moved over from Verizon 2 months back after a recommendation from my friend. He has been using T-Mobile and was getting faster speeds than my WiFi at home. Anyway speed test will show me and my wife getting great download speeds, 25 mbps + down, to the usual less than 1.0 mbps down. I have reset my APN, I have put a manual APN, and I have wiped my phone factory settings in an attempt to fix this issue. Nothing has worked consistently. Anyway the specifics:Phones:Mine: Note 8Wife: S9Zipcode 83201Looking for an answer. I'm stuck on a 2 year contract with subpar speeds and want to see what can be done.

Should a Verizon S10+ work well on T-mobile networks and will it come unlocked?

First of all, is it true that most Verizon phones are unlocked when you buy them?Secondly, if I buy the Verizon version of the S10+ should I be able to use it on Tmobile and will it work as well as the Tmobile version? Would a firmware change or something be necessary? Does it have the same hardware?There must be some catch because buying the Verizon version outright from Samsung.com saves me $100 (I also get an additional employer discount on that site). No mobile data/service. No internet connection and can't make calls

My phone's data doesn't work but I'm supposed to have unlimited. An odd thing happens when I restart my phone; My data works and is fully functional for about 15 seconds, after that it turns off and there's no way to turn it back on. I've really tried everything, changing settings, resetting network settings. Phone works on wifi though. Any fixes?

4G LTE CellSpot v2 - 3G/4G off, Power blinking green, everything else solid green

I'm a new TM customer. Set up 4G LTE CellSpot v2 successfully 2 days ago, working well, had all solid green lights. Tonight I see that, as the title says, POWER light is blinking green, 3G/4G light is OFF, all the others are ON SOLID GREEN. I have 4 barsWhat does this mean? Cannot find this light combination described anywhere.Thanks, JW

Missing Text Messages

Been having issues with receiving text messages. This is group chats amongst varying phone operating systems (i.e. android, iOS) as well as single messages. (IOS to android) . I have tried nearly all troubleshooting techniques with no success . I've linked a precious thread which explains my exact issue in detail (Missing random texts from multiple (iOS and android) devices ) .I would like to know if anyone else is still experiencing these issues? I seriously think this is an issue related to the T-Mobile network and if I cannot get this resolved soon, I will be leaving T-Mobile . @tmo_sean_h can you please assist me in troubleshooting this or direct me to someone who can? I'm on a Samsung S10 Plus but have also had issues on an iPhone X . Thanks, Dan

Partner coverage in Navajo nation

We will be visiting Chinle, AZ, which is within the Navajo nation. The T-mobile coverage map shows "partner coverage" when zoomed into the area around Chinle. We only need voice and text. Will we be able to use our phones as usual, or do we need to do something to have coverage while we are in Chinle?

LTE Not Working

No data (calls, text, apps) in LTE. Phone switches to 4G when sending or receiving phone call. I'm having to dial my VM in order to send text messages (even when on WIFI when messages are to/from Android user). Apple and tMobile support have been useless on this issue.

You'd think there'd be better service at Lakefront Airport (NEW)

Last night I had dinner at Messina's at the Terminal at the New Orleans Lakefront Airport (IATA:NEW) and found the service on my Moto M7 Power to be pretty poor inside. Trying to read e-mail the phone dropped to "H" and was very slow. The strange thing is that the dining room I was in (Walnut Room) has great big windows and glass doors looking south almost directly at a T-Mobile tower, about a km away, running bands 2, 66 & 12. This lends some credence to the many complaints aired here by other customers who report service problems in "excellent" service areas. I think this may be another case of T-Mobile's engineers being too conservative by half; not wanting to give up a single dB of signal margin to cochannel interference by keeping cell overlap and power levels at minimal levels. Come on, band 12 was supposed to solve these problems. No one want's to have to run outside to check e-mail.

Phone switching between networks: H, H+, E, LTE, with periods of no connectivity between

I have a Pixel II, but I've had this behavior on my older android.This only happens in my office.I have a signal booster from t-mobile, but it hasn't helped.I'm in an area with all kinds of coverage and when my phone isn't cycling through networks, I have high-speed voice and data and full bars.Situation: When I'm in my office (36th floor), I have solid reception, but the network keeps changing -- and when it changes- Calls in progress drop- Data that's streaming or connections between apps (E.g. What's App calls) need to reconnect. This takes several seconds or minutes and is, needless to say, highly disruptive.Any suggestions? I would be happy with lower speed data (lower than LTE) and voice if it were stable. Is there a way to stop or reduce network switching from my handset?

Nokia 7.1 - mobile data not working

Recently purchased the Nokia 7.1 Android One phone and have been having a lot of problems getting the mobile data to work, 4G or otherwise. Has anyone else had the same problem? Is there something I'm missing with a setting that needs to be switched? I was hoping someone might have some helpful advice. Have talked to T-Mobile support over the phone and in the store and no one has been able to help thus far.

First use of SIM in new phone in Europe

I live in Ireland but maintain a T-Mobile US number carried over from when I lived there. I recently bought a new phone (Samsung J5) but the T-Mobile SIM won't let me make or receive calls. It works fine in my iPhone 8 (with my Irish SIM) and the iPhone 6 that I was previously using for the SIM. If I call out from the phone I get routed to T-Mobile ("thank you for calling T-Mobile etc"), if I call in I get a "cannot connect your call" message. It was bought with a region lock but I followed the instructions to have it removed and I don't get the region lock screen come up when I start the phone with the T-Mobile SIM in it. Does anyone have any ideas?

How to recommend new tower locations

Hello, I was wondering how can I recommend areas tmobile should look into putting towers in that have low or no coverage right now? There are two towns in my area that one has very little coverage and the other is totally dead. They both have water towers so I suspect those would be great if tmobile could get on. There are also other towers from att and verizon in the area that they might be able to get on. The reason I ask is because when I was on att they have an app called mark the spot the directly sends information to them about an area with poor service and it has worked in the past to help them improve service. I don't see such an app from tmobile and I was wondering how I can make those recommendations.

Is the T-Mobile network messing with T-Mobile flip phones?

I have 1) an Alcatel Go Flip phone that is locked onto the T-Mobile network, and 2) a legacy T-Mobile "Pay As You Go" plan (in which I pay only for the minutes I use).The following scenario has been happening lately:A call to my phone goes straight to voicemail, with my phone not even ringing. The caller leaves a voicemail, and I get a voicemail notification. I turn the phone off and then back on.Now, a call to my phone causes the phone to ring, at least for a little while. However, after some time period, the straight-to-voicemail problem occurs again. Sometimes, the following scenario happens:A call to my phone goes straight to voicemail, with my phone not even ringing. The caller leaves a voicemail. However, I do NOT get a voicemail notification until I turn the phone off and then back on.There are 2 possibilities:1) The Alcatel Go Flip phone has a problem.2) The T-Mobile network is messing with T-Mobile flip phones and is causing calls to T-Mobile flip phones to go straight to voic

Text messages are not sending...

I am able to receive text messages but none are going through. It just says message failed to send. I have tried being connected to the wifi and without but I still have a strong signal. Full bars. I have tried restarting my phone and that did not help.Thanks
