I travel through and stay in an area of northern New Mexico where there has been no T-Mobile coverage. The coverage map now indicates that there should be coverage but there's none. I can drop a pin on the coverage map and the pop-up says I could get 4g lte, but, as I've already stated, there is no coverage. This dead zone extends for approximately 30 miles along a secondary highway that is a scenic route with high traffic in the summer.I have an LG Stylo 4 and it receives band 71. If I click on the coverage map and then see how coverage expands with band 71, it clearly shows good coverage along this corridor. But all I see in the top left hand corner of the phone is "searching."I've been on the phone with tech support twice, once for 45minutes, and I've been assured that they are looking into the issue. But they haven't done anything.I called them recently from the dead zone on a Sprint phone. The Sprint coverage map shows voice and text in this area and that's exactly what I got.The
There's a thread over on xda-developers with a growing number of users who are experiencing this issue. I've been in contact with T Mobile, they've swapped my sim card but the issue persists. Background:The Huawei Mate 20 pro is an unlocked international phone. The first issue I experienced was with Visual Voicemail. The post is located here . If you read the post you'll find that another user found a solution to this problem which seems to fix it, for the most part. I'm still experiencing issues with losing cellular data for no apparent reason from time to time. The issue improved to the point that it's tolerable, but it's still there. The current problem:Some calls are routed directly to voicemail for no reason. It's hit and miss and exceptionally troubling. Every user that has reported this issue is using T Mobile either directly , or indirectly (through a reseller). I've tried everything from resetting the phone and using it without Visual Voicemail installed to changing th
Will the "Xiaomi Mi Mix 3" & "Huawei Honor magic 2" receive 4G LTE Band 2, Band 4, Band 5, Band 12 Coverage in the United States?. I am thinking about getting this phone. Any thoughts suggestions or personal experience will help. Thank you.
It was for just few hours yesterday, but a snowstorm caused our power to go out, and immediately, when it did, so did our T-Mobile cell coverage. This has always happened in the past as well. When the power came back on, 4G lte service was immediately restored. It concerns me, because in a national emergency or a prolonged outage, we would have no way to communicate with family or the outside world.Friends in the area have told me their coverage does not go away when the power goes off - they maintain coverage. Please help me understand what is going on and why that is happening. It could be a life-threatening problem at some point.
and why is T-mobile voice mail so dumb as to notify me I have a voice mail when no message was left? I get weekly calls from spammers trying to sell me solar. They just wont take no for an answer. If I block a number I want them blocked!Guess I'll have to switch to a carrier that knows how to deal with spam calls better.
I ordered a signal booster from T-Mobile due to poor signal in my Manhattan apartment. They sent a unit and I had no trouble setting it up. Everything seemed to be working fine, but there was no improvement on my devices. Still 1 bar, which drops out when walking around the apartment. Tech support did some superficial flow chart troubleshooting and quickly opted to send out a new unit it exchange for the current unit. The new unit arrived, same result. Everything seems to be functioning properly except there is no signal improvement. It's as if my devices don't see the coverage unit to connect to it. I called tech support back, the did the same superficial flow chart troubleshooting and again, offered to replace the unit. They assured me they will test the unit before shipping it, just as they did the second time. Since I don't seem to be getting anywhere with the Kolkata call center, I thought I would ask if anyone in the US would have some first hand experience why this is happening.
Just wondering what kind of experiences others are having with the Pixel 3 on T-Mobile. I used to have an iPhone 7 that worked great and was hesitant at first to switch to the Pixel since it wasn't directly sold through T-Mobile. But then I read all the articles touting T-Mobile as having the fastest service for Pixel and decided to go for it. Big Mistake! About 80% of my calls get dropped and different music and video apps are now taking forever to load and sometimes just freeze. I've had to uninstall and reinstall apps to get them to work again. I've had more issues with the Pixel in the last 2 weeks than I've had with my iPhone in the last 2 years. It's really a bummer because I do prefer the Android OS over Apple. Don't know if it's the phone or the network or a combination of both, but I've heard of other people having the same frustrations. Anyone else experiencing this or have any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong? Please help.
I've noticed over the past couple weeks that my speeds are really taking hits throughout the day gradually becoming slower and slower. I wanted to blame this on the influx of Florida residents escaping hurricane Micheal into my immediate area but most of them have returned home by now.I also considered the fact that the two towers I normally connect to are either near two major highways at an intersection or downtown in a busy business district. However I've been where I am for quite some time and have never experienced these issues at either location until recently. TMobile states that there are tower upgrades for which this is quite possible that some mid band expansion was recently introduced however this should not have created slower speeds due to congestion. One rep even told me that band 71 had recently been deployed in the middle of my major city where there is no TV station and the Planned band 71 expansion is actually an hour away and should be completed by the end of this mont
I'm using a Forticlient linked to my firewall with the correct settings and from wireless it works fine across the board, but using only T-mobiles network I am able to login with my username and password, but I can't pass traffic for example ping to something in the firewalls network.I know that T-Mobile is IPv6 and my provide is handing off ipv4 but it should jump from the carrier to the end point with no problems. I'm thinking it's the application I'm using either the ping app (I've tried many) or the Forticlient itself. Does anyone have any idea's how to get this to work?I am using the latest version of forti client and 5.4.6 firmware on a Fortigate VM64 firewall.
Hi everyone, so I just received a new Galaxy S9+ recently which I am super happy about because it has support for Band 71. T-mobile has said State college should have it live in my area but I have yet to connect to it. I was hoping that someone could answer these two main questions.1. Is band 71 treated like band 12 as a fall back connection when band 4 is strong?2. Where exactly does band 71 cover in my market? On the coverage map its hard to discern what form of coverage is covering what but it would be awesome to know for the future as I have not noticed any coverage enhancements going from the S8 that I had originally used. I still connect to bands 2,4, and 12 at State college which is fine for the most part and dead zones still exist where they always have. I appreciate the time and am sorry for all the questions recently.
I purchase 3 lines, and 2 new devices. And a sim for a tablet with 2 gig's of data.On all 3 of the One unlimited lines I get .5 Mbps or less on hotspot. On the tablet I was able to get 30 Mpbs until I ran out of the 2 gigs. I call support last night and she said that its a power issue in the area. I don't understand how my limited device gets 30 Mpbs down until data is gone and then I get .5 to .06 mbps if I use another phone or even if I put a different sim in tablet. Are my One devices all throttled to .5 mbps?
Okay; this is really easy and actually makes things easier for TMobile:Call Screening should be implemented like this:- When it's enabled by the customer, ALL calls to the subscriber's line get intercepted with a recording that prompts the caller to enter a (randomly chosen) number between 0 and 9.- If the caller successfully enters the correct number, the call is put through; however, if the wrong (or no) number is entered, the call is ended. No chance to leave a message. The above is how my MagicJack call screening works. It has successfully eliminated 99% of sales calls but 100% of the robo-calls.What isn't T-Mobile using this system? Why make it so freakin' complicated with having to identify "spammers" and "telemarketers"? Just force them to enter the random number and all the crap calls are eliminated - I mean I don't even have to look at my phone or decline the call or block the number!C'mon, Mr Legere; show some spine and get this done!
This is a city in silicon valley, where technology is expected to be at their very best. But, ever since Tmobile started upgrading their network a year or two ago, the quality of their service took a dive. I can not expect LTE speeds across this region/city. In some places i will get LTE speeds, but just drive couple of blocks, and the speed would drop to 3G levels (or even 2G speeds). Following is a screenshot of my speed test results, that were conducted on different times/days. All tests were within a 5 mile radius. I have to acknowledge that about half the tests are not shown here (because i would terminate the test since the expected LTE speed would show up in the download test of SPEEDTEST app). Clearly, the network around here is congested, but that is no excuse. TMobile continues to add customers, take their money, but not investing enough of their profits into immediate infrastructure improvements. I h
I have an older One Plus One phone. I have started to have consistent dropped calls and network issues. Issues likePeople call and the phone does not ring, it goes to voicemailDropped calls to the point where I have to use the phone mostly at home standing on one leg with a wire antennaNetwork ghosting on me when I am sitting still in a parking lot, going from LTE prior to call to H during call and backCalls that never connect due to network issues, seems like calls should still connect on H and E networks but they just drop Any thoughts?
My friends and me just ported from ATT to T-mobile on a family plan of 4 people. The thingis after porting, the lines for three worked fine except for one. This line has text and dataworking, but could not make or receive any calls. If I call this number, the call is immediatelydropped, with a message saying this person is not able to answer, not to the voicemail. From this line it is possible to call the 611 service number, though. Any help is appreciated. PS: the device is an iPhone 6.
Hey all. Yeah, so I'll go days and not get a voicemail, then I restart the phone and several come in, some many days old. I've started missing important voicemails from work and things. Android, motoX4, generic unlocked. Any suggestions?
I got the phone ported over and texts come in and go out just fine, but BOTH our phones are getting a message when we try to dial out: "the service you are attempting to use has been restricted or is unavailable please contact customer care for assistance t-mobile". If people call in, they get 'By subscribers request this phone can not receive calls'. The message we get also says to contact customer service, but we have no way to call and I see no 'chat' link or anything on their web page so...The lady that set us up said it could take 24 hours to port, but I figured that was done once the texts started coming in??Anybody know what's going on?!?!? Thanks!
Before, the signal was great, always staying at 4 bars. I don't know what happened within the last couple of months. The maximum amount I can get is 2 bars, connected to my wifi or on LTE. Sometimes I even get no service. Ive tested my internet connection online and it always says that there's nothing wrong. What can I do to get the 4 bars again?
