With LG phones being discontinued, will my LG Velvet 5G continue to work with T-mobile big update coming this July 1st?

It will work but updates will be decided by LG and everything I've read says they're just updating the Korean version of the phones.
i remember reading that they’ll still cover security update wise for another year or two for current existing devices only but thats about it.
