I just read some posts about the modem overheating. Tech support says they are working on the towers and it may take a week or two for me to get back online. I just unplugged my modem, it was warm, tho in a well ventilated air conditioned room, its unplugged, letting it cool, I will restart it and try to connect after 30mins of direct ac cooled fan to see if it can connect.
After unplugging my modem and letting it cool down, my modem now works again!!! Thank u for the posts guys! Tech support still don't have a clue this is why my modem is offline!
I placed my modem on top of a raised wire mesh box, kinda like a cookie cooling rack but 6 inches off the marble countertop it was sitting on. It seems this was all the modem needed to stay cool enough to connect data. So far, so good!
