I have a Samsung s21 that was from sprint but now has a t-mobile sim card. It constantly looses the signal and I have to turn airplane mode on & off to regain it again. Is this indicative of a bad device or do I need to change to a t-mobile phone?

or the sim card is acting up. any other TMO devices around you? and if so swap sim cards with them and test..if their device with your sim card in it starts acting up then you know its the sim card..if your phone with their sim card in it starts acting up then its pointing more at the device.

Sometimes a factory reset can help when you change SIM providers.
