T-Mobile App using 7gb background data in 13 days

I have turned off background data to the app, still using data. Can't uninstall it. Changing permissions isn't working. Called T-Mobile who said it's Nord's fault and immediately transferred call to Nord cs, who said it's T-Mobiles app, therefore T-Mobiles problem. I am slowed to 2 and 3 g speeds for over half my prepaid cycle again this month, on my 5g phone.

have you tried clearing the apps data or cache?

That is a ‘T-Mobile’ app, baked onto a OnePlus device (branded).  

I doubt that OnePlus will help much outside of giving assistance to root your device.
