Hi,Is it possible to name a network on a 5G Gateway that allows spaces? Example: The Lan Before Time instead of TheLanBeforeTime. The main reason is to keep my network running on the same router name/password so I don’t need to do it manually with a new name. I’m using the app and it doesn’t permit this. Does anyone know if this can be done?
I’ve had this joke of “high-speed” internet service for 8mo now following every troubleshooting, signal enhancing trick short of a erecting a transistor radio tower atop my third floor apartment (which have only half seriously considered and loosely schemed plausible plans at this point). In complete seriousness I left T-Mobile years ago for Sprint b/c not only does T-Mobile’s “internet service” across all devices/plans unabashedly leave a desperate yearning for any other provider even marginally competent (except AT&T) at broadcasting data (virtually free to do, yet sold at +1000%) as what T-Mobile really provides is constant, frustrating disappointing w/ ample bouts of increasingly uncontrollable urges to punt the Gateway off my patio to its satisfying, deservedly agonizing connection with pavement. Arguably the only connection it’ll successfully have an EXCELLENT signal strength in the brief moments between impact and demise. I hardly use the gateway instead settle for using my
After setup of 5G Gateway Wi-Fi and creating a username and password initially with my phone, all of my other computers were somehow connected to it automatically. I never selected it or put in a password which means other people will access it. How do I fix this? Thanks
When a friend texts me a photo, I get no notification. When I discover the message, I have to download the photo and it often does not download over wifi, only 5g. I often don't discover the message until days later and by then the download period has expired. I have an LG velvet. Please help!
I have a Pixel 4a and realized that I was not receiving texts from friends of mine that have Verizon. I upgraded SMS app, made sure none of those people were blocked, did a factory reset on my Google phone. I am able to send those people texts and they receive them. I'm there and when they reply to me they think that they have sent the text correctly. They do not realize that I am not able to receive since the text appears delivered on their end. I am able to call and receive calls from them. I have spent hours talking with T-Mobile reps and escalated tech support. They have done all kinds of resets on my phone that they can do from their end. I have spent hours with Google support and they cannot figure out if it is the phone or not. According to them they do not believe it is. I have also talked to Verizon reps in the store and they have not heard of this problem. Has anyone faced this problem? Do you have suggestions to help this prob?
Every time I’m using data on my phone restricted mode on YouTube gets enabled and I cant disable it unless i go back onto WiFi. I did not activate it and neither did anyone else on my plan. I’ve checked the forms and other people have had this issue with no solution. Ive tried to contact t-mobile bot have gotten no response.
My wifi hasn’t been working for the past two weeks. I’ve tried calling and nobody answers the phone. I just want my Internet to work. I can’t justify paying $60 a month for wifi if it’s not even working. I can’t stream anything or play video games. I expect this issue to be fixed or I’m taking my business elsewhere.
Hello,My Tmobile 5G is practically unusable due to the fact that i have practically 0 mbps upload speed. My latest speed checks were giving me 450+ Mbps download and .19 Mbps upload for 5G. When I turned off 5G my download was 108 Mbps and 8 upload which actually performs much better. What is up with 5G? I know upload speed are not nearly as critical as download but you have to have at least some upload? .19 Mbps? This makes it unusable and I question the value.
I have been on the phone with Sprint/T-Mobile customer service, technical support, and hung up on or can’t hear me during conversations with them for the last two days. As soon as I hit my neighborhood area I have no cell service nor can I get Internet on my cell phone. I’ve been told the tower is down for the last two days and nobody has an explanation or a timeframe of when it will be fixed except ASAP. This is very frustrating and I am one day away from dropping this company and going to Verizon. This is unacceptable my husband has lost multiple leads for his business due to this . I need an answer right now of when my service will have more than one bar located on my phone. I can’t even open an app or listen to music on my phone when I take my dog for a walk and that is unacceptable I am furious right now. The only way I can do anything is if I’m on Wi-Fi I pay way too much money on auto pay every month to go through this. I have done everything the technical help department has a
Hello, I’m on the Magenta 55+ plan. I will be out of the US for about 3 ½ months over the summer traveling in Europe, most of the time in the UK. I understand I would have to pay .25 per minute for phone calls and the data speeds are very slow. I’m ok with that. I’m planning to get a local UK SIM (my phone supports dual SIM) and use the UK service for my data, so I don’t think I will be doing too much roaming on the T Mobile partner network. My question: is there any limit to how long I can spend out of the country? The fine print on the International Roaming plan says something like, “Not intended for extended International Travel” but when I ask T Mobile employees to quantify “extended” I get different answers. So far I’ve heard 3 months, 6 months, no time limit restrictions. Can anyone offer feedback from their experiences?
I have a very specific question re: coverage in Oregon City, OR 97045. Redland Road is a busy road that is highly travelled. For at least the past year any call I am on while driving on Redland Road drops about a half mile before the cross street of Ferguson Road and there are no cell service bars for approximately the next mile on Redland Road. Can this be addressed? Please?
Hello,I have had this issue since Jan ‘22 and have worked with both t-mobile and apple support numerous times yet the issue persists. For some reason, my 3rd party (non-apple) apps do not work on cellular data. i have tried everything tech support has suggested: reset phone, reset network settings, turn on roaming, ensure data usage is allowed for each app. it even went as far as me being advised by apple to redownload the current ios onto my phone and set up my phone from factory settings. this has been extremely frustrating and i would like to use my phone without such hinderances. can someone please help?
I found the following URL which describes the bandwidth used by 4G LTE.https://www.t-mobile.com/support/coverage/t-mobile-networkFrequencies that can provide LTE: Band 2 (1900 MHz) Band 5 (850 MHz) Band 4 (1700/2100 MHz) Band 66 (Extension of band 4 on 1700/2100 MHz).For LTE-M (CAT-M1), which bandwidth will be used? Thanks.
several places I’ve found where I can make voice calls, but cannot do anything on the Internet.Sometimes turning off wifi helps, but I feel the phone should be able to manage that one its own.Other times even turning of wifi doesn’t help, just today I ran into this issue, my S20 FE showed 3-4 bars of 5g, but couldn’t even connect to Google’s homepage - I did make a voice call with no issues. Software is current, battery saver off and all the other checklist items - also we are usually on wifi so use very little of our allotted bandwidth. Same behavior happens with my wife’s and my daughters phones. This isn’t anything new, just the first time I’ve asked anyone else.
I stopped receiving new voicemail notifications a couple of months ago when I noticed that I had not received any voicemail. When I dialed “1” to get into my voicemail, I was surprised that I had numerous new voicemails. I called Tmobile, was ont he phone with tmobile support ofr over an hour and got no where. They had me do all kinds of trouble shooting and checking settings. They said I needed to contact Apple. I made an appointment with the Apple Store. They checked all the setting which are correct and told me they didn’t think its a phone issue. They did get it working for a few days. I was receiving new voicemail notifications but they were hours delayed.I went to a local T Mobile store, upgraded my phone to the 10 Pro Max. I explained my issue. They said I needed to call T Mobile support. This time ask for a higher level tech support for voicemail. The tech support person spent over an hour with me, again, trouble shooting. Got nowhere. She said she has to open a ticket to have t
I live in zip code 67002 and my phone works fine there. I work in zip code 67042 and when I’m in my office I can receive and send texts but anything attached will not download until I am out of the building. I cannot receive or make any phone calls while in my office. Any ideas to help? Thanks.
