It is has nothing to do with apps. 
It has been doing the samething to me, eve since I switched to T-Mobile. If it was an app doing it Then it would have been doing it even when I was on AT&T it didn't start until I switched T-Mobile and I have even factory reset my phone and it's still doing it it's t-mobile they need to get their act together.
